DECREE
Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries to expand Ha Dong town,
establish wards under Ha Dong town, and expand Van Dinh market town,
Ung Hoa district, Ha Tay province
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tay province,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted to expand Ha Dong town, establish wards under Ha Dong town, and expand Van Dinh market town, Ung Hoa district, Ha Tay province as follows:
1. Adjusting the administrative boundaries to expand Ha Dong town and establishing wards under Ha Dong town as follows:
a) Transfer the entire 703.26 hectares of natural area and 10,917 population of Yen Nghia commune, Hoai Duc district; the entire 694.36 hectares of natural area and 15,378 population of Phu Luong commune; the entire 271.16 hectares of natural area and 5,012 population of Phu Lam commune, Thanh Oai district to the management of Ha Dong town, Ha Tay province.
b) Establish Van Phuc ward based on the entire natural area and population of Van Phuc commune:
Van Phuc ward has 143.12 hectares of natural area and 8,641 population. The administrative boundary of Van Phuc ward: East borders Van Mo ward; West borders Van Ke commune; South borders Quang Trung ward and Yet Kieu ward; North borders Dai Mo commune, Tu Liem district, Hanoi city.
c) Establish Ha Cau ward based on the entire natural area and population of Ha Cau commune, Ha Dong town.
Ha Cau ward has 154.17 hectares of natural area and 6,809 population.
The administrative boundary of Ha Cau ward: East borders Phuc La ward; West borders Van Ke commune; South borders Kien Hung commune; North borders Quang Trung ward and Nguyen Trai ward.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries of the districts to expand Ha Dong town and establish wards under Ha Dong town:
Ha Dong town has 3,327.55 hectares of natural area and 129,479 population; it includes 12 direct administrative units comprising the wards: Phuc La, Quang Trung, Yet Kieu, Van Mo, Nguyen Trai, Ha Cau, Van Phuc and the communes: Van Ke, Yen Nghia, Phu Luong, Phu Lam, Kien Hung.
The administrative boundary of Ha Dong town: East borders Thanh Tri district, Hanoi; West borders Hoai Duc district, Ha Tay; South borders Thanh Oai district, Ha Tay; North borders Tu Liem district, Hanoi.
Hoai Duc district remains with 8,823.78 hectares of natural area; 181,136 population; it includes 21 direct administrative units comprising the communes: An Khanh, An Thuong, Cat Que, Dong La, Duc Giang, Duc Thuong, Dak So, Duong Liu, Duong Noi, Dieu Trach, Kim Chung, La Phu, Lai Yen, Minh Khai, Song Phuong, Son Dong, Tien Yen, Van Canh, Van Cong, Yen So and Tran Troi market town.
Thanh Oai district remains with 13,215.04 hectares of natural area; 184,417 population; it includes 23 direct administrative units comprising the communes: Bien Giang, Bich Hoa, Binh Minh, Cu Khe, Cao Vien, Cao Duong, Lien Chau, My Hung, Phuong Trung, Thanh Cao, Tam Hung, Dan Hoa, Do Dong, Dong Mai, Hong Duong, Kim An, Kim Thu, Thanh Thuy, Thanh Mai, Thanh Van, Tan Uoc, Xuan Duong and Kim Bai market town.
2. Expanding Van Dinh market town, Ung Hoa district, Ha Tay province:
Transfer the entire 391.2 hectares of natural area and 9,934 population of Tan Phuong commune, Ung Hoa district; 75.76 hectares of natural area and 1,480 population (the entire natural area and population of Hoang Xa village with 70.1 hectares and 1,122 population, 3.52 hectares and 150 population of Luong Xa village and 2.14 hectares and 208 population of Dinh Trang village) belonging to Lien Bat commune; 36.63 hectares of natural area and 558 population of Phuong Tu commune; 7.5 hectares of natural area and 36 population (Thai Binh village) belonging to Van Thai commune to be incorporated into the management of Van Dinh market town.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to expand Van Dinh market town, Ung Hoa district:
Van Dinh market town has 539.31 hectares of natural area and 13,548 population. The administrative boundary of Van Dinh market town: East borders Phuong Tu commune, Ung Hoa district; West borders Dong Tien commune, Ung Hoa district; South borders Van Thai commune, Ung Hoa district and Phung Xa commune, My Duc district; North borders Lien Bat commune, Ung Hoa district.
Lien Bat commune remains with 774.73 hectares of natural area and 7,214 population.
Phuong Tu commune remains with 1,016.78 hectares of natural area and 10,663 population.
Van Thai commune remains with 590.73 hectares of natural area and 9,175 population.
Ung Hoa district has 18,637 hectares of natural area and 191,720 population, including 29 direct administrative units comprising 28 communes and Van Dinh market town.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tay province, the Minister of Interior and the Heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
