RESOLUTION

ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE DATE OF ELECTIONS FOR MEMBERS OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, TERM XII AND ESTABLISHMENT OF THE ELECTION COMMITTEE FOR MEMBERS OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

NATIONAL ASSEMBLY STANDING COMMITTEE

Pursuant to Article 91 of the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam promulgated in 1992, amended and supplemented by Resolution No. 51/2001/QH10 dated December 25, 2001 of the 10th National Assembly, 10th Session;

Pursuant to Article 14 and Article 54 of the Law on Elections for Members of the National Assembly, amended and supplemented by certain articles pursuant to Law No. 31/2001/QH10 dated December 25, 2001 of the 10th National Assembly, 10th Session;

RESOLUTION:

Article 1.

The election of members of the National Assembly, Term XII shall be held on Sunday, May 20, 2007.

Article 2.

Establishing the Election Committee responsible for organizing the election of members of the National Assembly, Term XII, consisting of the following members:

1. Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong, Member of the Politburo, Chairman of the National Assembly, Chairperson of the Election Committee;

2. Ms. Truong My Hoa, Vice President of the State, Vice Chairperson of the Election Committee;

3. Mr. Truong Vinh Trong, Member of the Politburo, Deputy Prime Minister, Vice Chairperson of the Election Committee;

4. Mr. Pham The Duyet, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice Chairperson of the Election Committee;

5. Mr. Truong Quang Duc, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Vice Chairperson of the Election Committee;

6. Mr. Nguyen Van Yeu, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Member;

7. Mr. Nguyen Phuc Than, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Member;

8. Mr. Ho Duc Viet, Member of the Politburo, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Member;

9. Mr. Nguyen Duc Kien, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Member

10. Mr. Le Quang Binh, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Member

11. Mr. Bui Ngoc Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Secretary General of the Election Committee;

12. Mr. Do Quang Trung, Minister of Home Affairs, Member;

13. Mr. Huynh Dam, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Member;

14. Mr. Le Van Dung, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Lieutenant General, Director of the Political Bureau, Member;

15. Mr. Nguyen Khanh Toan, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Lieutenant General, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Member;

16. Mr. Nguyen Duc Hat, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Department, Member;

17. Mr. Dang Ngoc Tung, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member;

18. Ms. Ha Thi Kiet, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Chairman of the Vietnam Women's Union, Member;

19. Mr. Le Hoang Minh, Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, Member;

20. Mr. Vo Van Thuong, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Member;

21. Mr. Tran Hanh, Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association, Member.

Article 3.

The Election Committee shall perform its duties and powers as prescribed by the law on elections and shall cease its functions after transferring the election records to the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Term XII./.
