Issuing the List of Settlement Names, Topographic, Hydrographic, Economic and Social Features
serving the establishment of the map of Hai Duong province

Pursuant to the Law on Surveying and Mapping dated June 14, 2018;

Pursuant to Decree No. 36/2017/NĐ-CP dated April 4, 2017 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment;

AT THE REQUEST OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE VIETNAM GEODETIC, CARTOGRAPHIC AND GEO-INFORMATION AGENCY AND THE HEAD OF THE LEGAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT;

The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment issues this Circular promulgating the List of Place Names of Settlements, Topographic Features, Hydrographic Features, and Socio-Economic Features for the Establishment of the Map of Hai Duong Province.

Article 1. Attached to this Circular is the List of Place Names of Settlements, Topographic Features, Hydrographic Features, and Socio-Economic Features for the Establishment of the Map of Hai Duong Province.

Article 2. This Circular takes effect from the date 10 the 9 in 2019.

Article 3. Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, agencies under the Government, People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities, and relevant organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular./.

LIST OF PLACE NAMES OF SETTLEMENTS, TOPOGRAPHIC FEATURES, HYDROGRAPHIC FEATURES, AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC FEATURES FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE MAP OF HAI DUONG PROVINCE

Part I

GENERAL PROVISIONS

1. The List of Place Names of Settlements, Topographic Features, Hydrographic Features, and Socio-Economic Features for the Establishment of the Map of Hai Duong Province is standardized from place names on the national topographic map at a scale of 1:25,000 in the VN-2000 coordinate system within the Hai Duong province area.

2. The List of Place Names of Hai Duong Province is arranged alphabetically according to the names of district-level administrative units including cities and counties, wherein:

1. The "Place Name" column includes standardized place names. Alternative names of place names or notes to distinguish place names with the same name within a commune-level administrative unit are shown in parentheses.

2. The "Group of Objects" column includes symbols representing groups of place names, wherein: "DC" represents the group of settlement place names; "SV" represents the group of topographic feature place names; "TV" represents the group of hydrographic feature place names; "KX" represents the group of socio-economic feature place names.

3. The "Name of Commune-Level Administrative Unit" column includes the names of commune-level administrative units, wherein: "P." is an abbreviation for "ward"; "TT." is an abbreviation for "town".

4. The "Name of District-Level Administrative Unit" column includes the names of district-level administrative units, wherein: "TP." is an abbreviation for "city"; "H." is an abbreviation for "county".

d) The "Relative Coordinates of the Object" column includes the relative coordinates of the corresponding geographic object listed in the "Place Name" column, if the geographic object is represented on the map by a point symbol, the value of the coordinates corresponds to the "Central Coordinates" column, if the geographic object is represented on the map by a line symbol, the value of the coordinates corresponds to the "Starting Coordinates" and "Ending Coordinates" columns.

1. The "Topographic Map Sheet Code" column includes the code of the topographic map sheet at a scale of 1:25,000 containing the standardized place name in the "Place Name" column.

Part II

Article 1. Attached to this Circular is the List of Place Names of Settlements, Topographic Features, Hydrographic Features, and Socio-Economic Features for the Establishment of the Map of Hai Duong Province.

Article 2. This Circular takes effect from September 10, 2019.

Article 3. Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, agencies under the Government, People's Committees of provinces and centrally-administered cities, and related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular.
