DECREE
Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes and establishment of communes under Muong Lat district and Quan Son district,Thanh Hoa province

THE GOVERNMENT
Based on the Law on the Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province,
DECREE:
Article 1. The administrative boundaries of communes and the establishment of communes under Muong Lat district and Quan Son district, Thanh Hoa province, are adjusted as follows:
1. Establish Nhi Son commune under Muong Lat district based on the adjustment of 3,684.61 hectares of natural area and 2,029 population from Pù Nhi commune.
Nhi Son commune has 3,684.61 hectares of natural area and 2,029 population.
Administrative boundary of Nhi Son commune: East borders Trung Ly commune, Muong Lat district; West borders Pù Nhi commune, Muong Lat district; South borders the Lao Democratic Republic; North borders Tam Chung commune and Muong Lat town, Muong Lat district.
2. Establish Trung Tien commune under Quan Son district based on the adjustment of 4,405.5 hectares of natural area and 2,935 population from Trung Thang commune.
Trung Tien commune has 4,405.5 hectares of natural area and 2,935 population.
Administrative boundary of Trung Tien commune: East borders Trung Ha commune, Quan Son district; West borders Trung Thang commune, Quan Son district; South borders Lam Phu commune, Lang Chan district; North borders Nam Dong commune, Quan Hoa district.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries:
- Pù Nhi commune retains 6,754.99 hectares of natural area and 3,754 population.
Muong Lat district has 80,865 hectares of natural area and 30,318 population, with 09 direct administrative units including communes: Trung Ly, Muong Ly, Pù Nhi, Nhi Son, Tam Chung, Ten Tan, Quang Chieu, Muong Chan and Muong Lat town.
- Trung Thang commune retains 5,217.41 hectares of natural area and 2,894 population.
Quan Son district has 94,345 hectares of natural area and 34,915 population, with 13 direct administrative units including communes: Son Thuy, Na Meo, Son Dien, Muong Min, Tam Thanh, Tam Lu, Son Lu, Son Ha, Trung Thang, Trung Tien, Trung Ha, Trung Xuan and Quan Son town.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
