Regarding the establishment of towns under Cam Xuyen and Vu Quang districts, renaming
Vu Quang commune to Huong Quang commune under Vu Quang district, Ha Tinh province
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted to establish towns under Cam Xuyen and Vu Quang districts, rename Vu Quang commune to Huong Quang commune under Vu Quang district, Ha Tinh province as follows:
1. Establishing the town of Thien Canh under Cam Xuyen district based on the entire natural area and population of Cam Long commune.
Thien Canh town has 1,401.17 hectares of natural area and 7,510 inhabitants.
The administrative boundary of Thien Canh town: East borders Cam Nhuong commune; West borders Cam Nam and Cam Phuc communes; South borders Cam Loc, Cam Ha, and Cam Phuc communes; North borders Cam Duong commune and the East Sea.
2. Establishing the town of Vu Quang - the district capital of Vu Quang district based on the entire natural area and population of Huong Dai commune; 103 hectares of natural area and 373 inhabitants of Huong Minh commune; 159 hectares of natural area and 282 inhabitants of Duc Bong commune.
Vu Quang town has 3,786 hectares of natural area and 2,449 inhabitants.
The administrative boundary of Vu Quang town: East borders Huong Minh commune; West borders Huong Dien commune; South borders Huong Quang commune; North borders Son Tho, Duc Linh, and Duc Bong communes.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Vu Quang town:
Huong Minh commune retains 4,952 hectares of natural area and 2,855 inhabitants.
Duc Bong commune retains 1,260.40 hectares of natural area and 2,855 inhabitants.
3. Renaming Vu Quang commune under Vu Quang district to Huong Quang commune.
Article 2. This Decree takes effect 15 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.
Article 2. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, the Minister of Interior, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
