TO IMPLEMENT GOVERNMENT REFORMS;

Article 1. The General Department of Customs is hereby transferred to the Ministry of Finance.
Article 2. The Minister of Finance shall be responsible for: Receiving the handover of work from the Director-General of the General Department of Customs; Managing and directing the General Department of Customs; Implementing the appointment process for the Director-General of the General Department of Customs; By October 15, 2002, submitting to the Government for promulgation of a Decree on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the General Department of Customs to replace the current Decree.
Article 3. This Decision shall take effect from the date of signing.
Article 4. The Minister of Finance, the Minister of Home Affairs, the Director-General of the General Department of Customs, the Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing this Decision.
