DECREE

Regarding the establishment of communes under the districts of Dam Doi, Tran Van Thoi, Thoi Binh, and Nam Can, Ca Mau province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the People's Committee of Ca Mau province,

DECREE:

Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted to establish communes under the districts of Dam Doi, Tran Van Thoi, Thoi Binh, and Nam Can, Ca Mau province as follows:

1. Establishing the commune of Ngoc Chan under the district of Dam Doi based on 5,303.76 hectares of natural area and 11,023 population from the commune of Thanh Tung.

The commune of Ngoc Chan has 5,303.76 hectares of natural area and 11,023 population.

Administrative boundary of the commune of Ngoc Chan: East borders the communes of Tan Dan and Nguyen Huan; West borders the commune of Quach Pham Bac; South borders the commune of Thanh Tung; North borders the commune of Tan Duyet.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish the commune of Ngoc Chan, the commune of Thanh Tung remains with 4,712.66 hectares of natural area and 7,633 population.

2. Establishing the commune of Tan Trung under the district of Dam Doi based on 3,486 hectares of natural area and 10,664 population from the commune of Tran Phan.

The commune of Tan Trung has 3,486 hectares of natural area and 10,664 population.

Administrative boundary of the commune of Tan Trung: East borders the commune of Ta An Khuong; West borders the commune of Tan Duyet and the district of Cai Nuoc; South borders the commune of Tran Phan; North borders the city of Ca Mau.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish the commune of Tan Trung, the commune of Tran Phan remains with 3,360 hectares of natural area and 11,656 population.

3. Establishing the commune of Tan Dan under the district of Dam Doi based on 2,948 hectares of natural area and 6,148 population from the commune of Tan Duyet.

The commune of Tan Dan has 2,948 hectares of natural area and 6,148 population.

Administrative boundary of the commune of Tan Dan: East borders the commune of Tan Tien; West borders the commune of Tan Duyet; South borders the communes of Nguyen Huan and Ngoc Chan; North borders the town of Dam Doi and the communes of Ta An Khuong Nam and Tan Duc.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish the commune of Tan Dan, the commune of Tan Duyet remains with 5,131 hectares of natural area and 14,448 population.

4. Establishing the commune of Phong Dien under the district of Tran Van Thoi based on 5,578.88 hectares of natural area and 13,208 population from the commune of Phong Lac.

The commune of Phong Dien has 5,578.88 hectares of natural area and 13,208 population.

Administrative boundary of the commune of Phong Dien: East borders the commune of Phong Lac; West borders the town of Song Doc and the East Sea; South borders the district of Cai Nuoc; North borders the town of Song Doc and the communes of Khanh Hai and Khanh Hung.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish the commune of Phong Dien, the commune of Phong Lac remains with 4,465 hectares of natural area and 9,506 population.

5. Establishing the commune of Khanh Loc under the district of Tran Van Thoi based on 2,478 hectares of natural area and 8,215 population from the commune of Tran Hoi.

The commune of Khanh Loc has 2,478 hectares of natural area and 8,215 population.

Administrative boundary of the commune of Khanh Loc: East borders the town of Tran Van Thoi; West borders the commune of Khanh Hung; South borders the commune of Phong Lac; North borders the commune of Tran Hoi.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish the commune of Khanh Loc, the commune of Tran Hoi remains with 9,346 hectares of natural area and 14,000 population.

6. Establishing the commune of Tri Luc under the district of Thoi Binh based on 3,898.66 hectares of natural area and 7,024 population from the commune of Tri Phai.

The commune of Tri Luc has 3,898.66 hectares of natural area and 7,024 population.

Administrative boundary of the commune of Tri Luc: East borders the commune of Tri Phai and Kien Giang province; West borders the commune of Bien Bach Dong; South borders the commune of Tri Phai; North borders the commune of Bien Bach Dong and Kien Giang province.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish the commune of Tri Luc, the commune of Tri Phai remains with 3,183.34 hectares of natural area and 11,863 population.

7. Establishing the commune of Tan Bang under the district of Thoi Binh based on 4,730 hectares of natural area and 10,419 population from the commune of Bien Bach.

The commune of Tan Bang has 4,730 hectares of natural area and 10,419 population.

Administrative boundary of the commune of Tan Bang: East borders Kien Giang province; West borders the district of U Minh; South borders the commune of Bien Bach Dong; North borders the commune of Bien Bach.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish the commune of Tan Bang, the commune of Bien Bach remains with 4,068 hectares of natural area and 8,210 population.

8. Establishing the commune of Lam Hai under the district of Nam Can based on 12,272.40 hectares of natural area and 10,531 population from the commune of Dat Moi.

The commune of Lam Hai has 12,272.40 hectares of natural area and 10,531 population.

Administrative boundary of the commune of Lam Hai: East borders the district of Ngoc Hien; West borders the East Sea; South borders the district of Ngoc Hien; North borders the district of Phu Tan.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish the commune of Lam Hai, the commune of Dat Moi remains with 9,575.38 hectares of natural area and 10,560 population.

Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.

Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, and the heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
