Regarding the establishment of Tam Ky City under Quang Nam Province

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam Province,
DECREE:
Article 1. Tam Ky City under Quang Nam Province shall be established based on the entire natural area and population of Tam Ky Town.
Tam Ky City has 9,263.56 hectares of natural area and 123,662 inhabitants; it includes 13 administrative units, namely the wards: An My, An Son, Hoa Huong, Phuoc Hoa, An Xuan, An Phu, Truong Xuan, Tan Thanh, Hoa Thuan, and the communes: Tam Thang, Tam Thanh, Tam Phu, Tam Ngoc.
Administrative boundary of Tam Ky City: to the north bordering Thang Binh District and Phu Ninh District, to the south bordering Nui Than District, to the west bordering Phu Ninh District, Quang Nam Province, and to the east bordering the East Sea.
Quang Nam Province has 17 first-level administrative units, including districts: Bac Tra My, Duy Xuyen, Dai Loc, Dong Giang, Dien Ban, Hiep Duc, Nam Giang, Nam Tra My, Phu Ninh, Nui Than, Phuoc Son, Que Son, Tay Giang, Tien Phuoc, Thang Binh, Hoi An Town, and Tam Ky City.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Minister of Home Affairs, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam Province, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
