Regarding the establishment of Cu Lo City under Nghe An Province
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An Province and the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadre Department of the Government,
DECREE:
Article 1. - Now establish Cu Lo City under Nghe An Province based on Cu Lo Town and the communes of Nghi Thu, Nghi Hung, Nghi Hoa, Nghi Hai; 50 hectares of natural area; 2,291 population of Nghi Quang commune belonging to Nghi Loc District.
Cu Lo City has a natural area of 2,329 hectares; population of 37,712, including administrative units:
1- Nghi Tan Ward is established based on 58 hectares of natural area; 6,800 population of Cu Lo Town; 50 hectares of natural area; 2,291 population of Nghi Quang Commune.
Nghi Tan Ward has a natural area of 108 hectares; population of 9,091.
The boundary of Nghi Tan Ward: East borders Nghi Thuy Ward; West, South, and North border Nghi Loc District.
2- Nghi Thuy Ward is established based on 94 hectares of natural area; 5,400 population of Cu Lo Town.
The boundary of Nghi Thuy Ward: East borders the East Sea; West borders Nghi Tan Ward; South borders Thu Thuy Ward and Nghi Loc District; North borders Nghi Loc District.
3- Thu Thuy Ward is established based on the remaining part of Cu Lo Town including 98 hectares of natural area; 5,200 population.
The boundary of Thu Thuy Ward: East borders the East Sea; West borders Nghi Thu Commune and Nghi Loc District; South borders Nghi Thu Commune; North borders Nghi Thuy Ward.
4- Nghi Hoa Ward is established based on maintaining the original area and population of Nghi Hoa Commune.
Nghi Hoa Ward has a natural area of 350 hectares; population of 3,000.
The boundary of Nghi Hoa Ward: East borders the East Sea; West borders Nghi Loc District; South borders Nghi Hai Ward; North borders Nghi Hung Commune.
5- Nghi Hai Ward is established based on maintaining the original area and population of Nghi Hai Commune.
Nghi Hai Ward has a natural area of 387 hectares; population of 7,994.
The boundary of Nghi Hai Ward: East borders the East Sea; West borders Nghi Hoa Ward; South borders Nghia Xuan Commune of Ha Tinh Province; North borders Nghi Hoa Ward.
6- Nghi Thu Commune (maintaining the current status) has a natural area of 323 hectares; population of 2,701.
7- Nghi Hung Commune (maintaining the current status) has a natural area of 969 hectares; population of 4,326.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries:
Nghi Quang Commune (Nghi Loc District) retains a natural area of 509 hectares; population of 4,503.
The boundary of Nghi Quang Commune: East borders Nghi Tan Ward (Cu Lo City); West borders Nghi Yen Commune; South borders Nghi Hop Commune; North borders Nghi Yen, Nghi Tien, and Nghi Thiet Communes.
Nghi Loc District retains a natural area of 38,316 hectares; population of 167,538. It includes 38 administrative units: Nghi Kieu, Nghi Lam, Nghi Van, Nghi Hung, Nghi Dong, Nghi Cong, Nghi My, Nghi Phuong, Nghi Hoa, Nghi Thuan, Nghi Long, Nghi Trung, Nghi Dien, Nghi Van, Nghi Kim, Nghi Lien, Nghi Thinh, Nghi Truong, Nghi emdashn, Nghi Duc, Nghi Xuan, Nghi Xa, Nghi Thach, Nghi Phong, Nghi Thai, Nghi Tho, Nghi Yen, Nghi Tien, Nghi Thiet, Nghi Quang, Nghi Hop, Nghi Khanh Communes and Quan Hanh Town.
Article 2. - This Decree takes effect from the date of issuance; all provisions contrary to this Decree are abolished.
Article 3. - The Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An Province and the Organization-Cadre Department of the Government are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
