DECISION OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE GOVERNMENT

Approving the "Overall Plan for Implementing the Atomic Energy Application Strategy for Peaceful Purposes until 2020"

Pursuant to the Law on Science and Technology dated June 9, 2000;

PRIME MINISTER

Based on the Law on the Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to Decision No. 01/2006/QĐ-TTg dated January 3, 2006 of the Chairman of the Government approving the Atomic Energy Application Strategy for Peaceful Purposes until 2020;

||| Pursuant to the Electricity Law dated December 3, 2004;

Upon the proposal of the Minister of Science and Technology,

Approves the "Overall Plan for Implementing the Atomic Energy Application Strategy for Peaceful Purposes until 2020" attached to this Decision.

DECISION:

Article 1. 1. Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, provincial People's Committees under central cities assigned to take the lead in the projects mentioned in the "Overall Plan for Implementing the Atomic Energy Application Strategy for Peaceful Purposes until 2020" shall be responsible for:

Article 2. Implementation

a) Coordinating with relevant ministries, sectors, and localities to develop the contents and implementation plans of the projects until 2020, and specific plans from now until 2010 and 2015;

b) Organizing the approval of the projects within their authority or submitting them to the Chairman of the Government for approval and organizing the implementation of the projects after approval;

c) Annually submitting reports to the Ministry of Science and Technology on the progress of project implementation for consolidation and reporting to the Chairman of the Government.

Leading and coordinating with the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and related agencies to develop a plan to balance funding sources to allocate the budget for the development and organization of the approval of projects listed in the Overall Plan attached to this Decision, and for the organization of the implementation of projects approved by competent authorities;

2. Ministry of Finance

3. The Ministry of Science and Technology shall lead and coordinate with ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, provincial People's Committees under central cities involved:

a) Organizing the implementation of the "Overall Plan for Implementing the Atomic Energy Application Strategy for Peaceful Purposes until 2020" attached to this Decision;

b) Annually consolidating the progress of project implementation, proposing necessary solutions to promote work, and submitting them to the Chairman of the Government for decision;

c) Summarizing and reporting to the Chairman of the Government on the results of the overall plan at the end of 2010, 2015, and 2020.

This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette.

Article 3. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette.

Article 4. THE MINISTERS, HEADS OF GOVERNMENT-LEVEL MINISTRIES, HEADS OF GOVERNMENT-LEVEL AGENCIES, AND CHAIRMEN OF PROVINCE AND CITY PEOPLE'S COMMITTEES DIRECTLY UNDER THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENFORCING THIS DECISION./.
