DECISION OF THE PRIME MINISTER
Regarding amendments and supplements to certain provisions of Decision No. 422/QĐ-TTg dated May 19, 1998 and Decision No. 89/1999/QĐ-TTg dated April 3, 1999 of the Government on the establishment of Joint Control Posts against smuggling and commercial fraud.
PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
To strengthen anti-smuggling and anti-commercial fraud efforts in the new situation;
Considering the proposal of the Head of the Steering Committee for Anti-Smuggling, Fake Goods, and Commercial Fraud,
DECISION:
Article 1. Amend and supplement Article 2 of Decision No. 422/QĐ-TTg dated May 19, 1998 of the Government and Article 2 of Decision No. 89/1999/QĐ-TTg dated April 3, 1999 of the Government as follows:
The components of the Joint Control Posts include forces from public security, customs, border guard, market management, and tax authorities. The head of the post, organizational structure, and specific staffing levels at the Joint Control Posts shall be decided by the Chairman of the People's Committee of the province where the Post is established.
Article 2. Amend and supplement Article 4 of Decision No. 422/QĐ-TTg dated May 19, 1998 of the Government as follows:
The Steering Committee for Anti-Smuggling, Fake Goods, and Commercial Fraud (Central Steering Committee 127) shall issue the Regulations on the Organization and Operation of Joint Control Posts against Smuggling and Commercial Fraud.
Article 3. This Decision takes effect from the date of signature.
The Ministers of the Ministries of Public Security, National Defense, Trade, Finance, the Director General of the General Department of Customs, the Chairmen of the People's Committees of Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Thua Thien Hue, Tay Ninh, Long An, and An Giang Provinces, and the Central Steering Committee 127 shall be responsible for implementing this Decision.
