THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Pursuant to Decree No. 01/2008/NĐ-CP dated January 3, 2008, of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
Pursuant to the Fisheries Law dated November 26, 2003; the Product and Goods Quality Law dated November 20, 2007;
Pursuant to the Food Safety Ordinance dated July 26, 2003 and Decree No. 163/2004/NĐ-CP dated September 7, 2004 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Food Safety Ordinance;;
Pursuant to Decree No. 79/2008/NĐ-CP dated July 18, 2008 of the Government stipulating the organizational system for management, inspection, and testing related to food safety;
Pursuant to Circular Joint No. 24/2005/TTLT-BYT-BTS dated December 8, 2005 of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Fisheries (now the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) guiding the division of responsibilities and coordination in state management of aquatic product food safety;
At the proposal of the Director of the Directorate of Quality Management of Forestry, Agricultural, and Fishery Products.
DECISION:
Article 1. Attached to this Decision are the "Regulations on Inspection and Certification of Quality and Food Safety for Aquatic Products" which replace relevant provisions concerning the inspection and certification of quality and food safety for aquatic products used as food as stipulated in the"Regulations on State Inspection and Certification of Quality of Aquatic Products"issued pursuant to Decision No. 650/2000/QĐ-BTS dated August 4, 2000 of the Minister of Fisheries (now the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development).
Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
Article 3. The Head of the Office of the Ministry, the Director of the Directorate of Quality Management of Forestry, Agricultural, and Fishery Products, the heads of units under the Ministry, the Directors of Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
