DECISION OF THE MINISTER

MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Regarding the establishment of the Chalo Thong Kharm Plant Quarantine Station

THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Pursuant to Decree No. 73/CP dated November 1, 1995 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;

Pursuant to Decree No. 92/CP dated November 27, 1993 of the Government guiding the implementation of the Ordinance on Plant Protection and Quarantine;

Pursuant to Decision No. 874 NN-TCCB/QĐ dated June 24, 1996 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development regarding specific tasks, authorities, and organizational structure of the Plant Protection Department;

Considering the proposal of the Director of the Plant Protection Department and the Head of the Cadre and Civil Servant Affairs Department.

DECISION:

Article 1: Now establish the Chalo Thong Kharm Plant Quarantine Station under the Vinh Region VI Plant Quarantine Sub-Department (Vinh, Nghe An) of the Plant Protection Department.

The Station shall have its own seal, be provided with state funds for operation, and be allowed to open specialized accounts for revenue and expenditure (including foreign currency accounts) at the State Treasury in accordance with current regulations;

The Station's headquarters is located in Cha Lo District, Quang Binh Province.

Article 2: The tasks of the Chalo Thong Kharm Plant Quarantine Station are to assist the Director of the Vinh Region VI Plant Quarantine Sub-Department:

a. To conduct plant quarantine on objects subject to plant quarantine at the Chalo Thong Kharm border gate;

b. To issue plant quarantine certificates and collect plant quarantine fees in accordance with state regulations;

c. To guide and inspect domestic plant quarantine work within the area assigned by the Sub-Department.

Article 3: The Chalo Thong Kharm Plant Quarantine Station shall have a Station Director, and the Deputy Station Director shall assist the Station Director. The Station Director and Deputy Station Director shall be appointed and relieved of duty by the Director of the Plant Protection Department. The staffing of the Station shall be determined by the Director of the Plant Protection Department within the total staffing allocated by the Ministry to the Department.

Article 4: The Director of the Plant Protection Department, Heads of relevant units under the Ministry, the Director of the Vinh Region VI Plant Quarantine Sub-Department (Vinh, Nghe An), and the Director of the Chalo Thong Kharm Plant Quarantine Station are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
