DIRECTIVE OF THE PRIME MINISTER
Regarding the completion of commendation work for three periods: achievements in assisting the revolution before August 1945,
resistance against France, resistance against America.
Implementing Directive No. 35-CT/TW dated June 3, 1998 of the Politburo on completing commendation work for the three periods in 2000, the Prime Minister instructs the Ministers of Ministries, Heads of agencies at ministerial level, agencies under the Government, central agencies of mass organizations, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities to perform the following tasks:
1. Conduct a final review of all commendation files for the three periods within their respective jurisdictions, and submit them to the Prime Minister (through the State Encouragement and Reward Institute) before September 30, 2000.
2. Organize classification, prepare lists, and store commendation files long-term at two levels: provincial and district to serve the handling of complaints and reports (if any), while implementing preferential policies according to Decree No. 28/CP dated April 29, 1995.
3. Organize summaries of the implementation of commendation work for the three periods at various levels and nationwide. The State Encouragement and Reward Institute will guide the content of summary reports on commendations at each level and nationwide.
4. The State Encouragement and Reward Institute will appraise the final commendation files for the three periods and submit them to the Prime Minister before November 30, 2000.
