WHEREAS,PURSUANT TO THE PRESS LAW PROMULGATED ON DECEMBER 28, 1989; THE LAW AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE PRESS LAW PROMULGATED ON JUNE 12, 1999; AND DECREE NO. 51/2002/NĐ-CP DATED APRIL 26, 2002 OF THE GOVERNMENT GUIDING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PRESS LAW AND THE LAW AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE PRESS LAW;
Pursuant to Decree No. 51/2008/NĐ-CP dated April 22, 2008 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport;
BASED ON DECISION NO. 77/2007/QĐ-TTg DATED MAY 28, 2007 OF THE PRIME MINISTER ISSUING THE REGULATIONS ON SPONSERING STATEMENTS AND PROVIDING INFORMATION TO THE MEDIA;
AT THE REQUEST OF THE HEAD OF THE MINISTRY'S OFFICE,To the Ministry,
DECISION:
Article 1. AMEND AND SUPPLEMENT CLAUSE 7 OF ARTICLE 2 OF THE "REGULATIONS ON SPONSERING STATEMENTS AND PROVIDING INFORMATION TO THE MEDIA OF THE MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT" ISSUED TOGETHER WITH DECISION NO. 08/2008/QĐ-BGTVT DATED MAY 19, 2008 OF THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORT AS FOLLOWS: "ORGANIZATIONS AND UNITS UNDER THE MINISTRY, WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS ASSIGNED, HAVE THE RIGHT AND OBLIGATION TO MAKE STATEMENTS, PROVIDE INFORMATION, AND EXPLAIN TO THE MEDIA IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PRESS LAW AND OTHER RELATED LEGAL DOCUMENTS, AND ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUCH INFORMATION."
Article 2. THIS DECISION SHALL TAKE EFFECT 15 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF PUBLICATION IN THE OFFICIAL GAZETTE.
Article 3. THE HEAD OF THE MINISTRY'S OFFICE, THE HEAD OF THE MINISTRY'S INSPECTION DEPARTMENT, DIRECTORS OF DEPARTMENTS, DIRECTORS OF BUREAUS, HEADS OF RELEVANT UNITS, AND THE MINISTRY'S SPOKESPERSON SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS DECISION./.
