Regarding the establishment of Hoa Binh City within Hoa Binh Province

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh Province.
DECREE
Article 1. Hoa Binh City within Hoa Binh Province shall be established based on the entire natural area, population, and administrative units directly under the jurisdiction of Hoa Binh Town.
Hoa Binh City has an area of 13,276.05 hectares and a population of 95,589, comprising 14 administrative units including the wards: Phuong Lam, Dong Tien, Cham Mat, Thai Binh, Tan Thinh, Tan Hoa, Huu Nghia, Thinh Lang, and the communes: Dan Chu, Su Ngoi, Thong Nhat, Hoa Binh, Yen Mong, Thai Thinh.
The administrative boundary of Hoa Binh City: to the East, it borders Ky Son and Kim Boi districts; to the West, it borders Cao Phong and Da Bac districts; to the South, it borders Cao Phong district; to the North, it borders Thanh Son district, Phu Tho province.
Hoa Binh Province has 11 first-level administrative units, including the districts: Cao Phong, Da Bac, Kim Boi, Ky Son, Lac Son, Lac Thuy, Luong Son, Mai Chau, Tan Lac, Yen Thuy, and Hoa Binh City.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations that conflict with this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Minister of Home Affairs, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh Province, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
