Pursuant to the Ordinance on Product Quality dated December 24, 1999;
BASED ON THE DECREE NO. 22/CP OF MAY 22, 1993 OF THE GOVERNMENT ON THE TASKS, POWERS, AND ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE OF THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENT (NOW THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY)
BASED ON THE DECISION NO. 147/2002/QĐ-TTg OF OCTOBER 25, 2002 OF THE PRIME MINISTER ON THE MANAGEMENT MECHANISM FOR TWO-WHEEL MOTORCYCLE EXPORTS, IMPORTS, PRODUCTION, AND ASSEMBLY AND MOTORCYCLE PARTS FOR THE PERIOD 2003-2005;
PURSUANT TO THE GUIDANCE OF THE PRIME MINISTER IN THE LETTER NO. 260/CP-KG OF MARCH 11, 2003 ON ASSIGNING THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY TO ISSUE THE LIST OF MOTORCYCLES AND MOTORCYCLE ENGINES AND PARTS THAT MUST APPLY VIETNAM STANDARDS;
AFTER CONSULTATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION ON THE LIST OF MOTORCYCLES AND MOTORCYCLE ENGINES AND PARTS THAT MUST APPLY STANDARDS;
At the request of the Director General of the Standardization, Measurement, and Quality Control Department,
DECISION:
Article 1. ATTACHED TO THIS DECISION IS THE LIST OF MOTORCYCLES, ENGINES, AND MOTORCYCLE PARTS THAT MUST APPLY VIETNAM STANDARDS (VNS);
THE EFFECTIVE DATE FOR APPLYING THE STANDARDS IS SPECIFIED IN THE ATTACHED LIST. THIS LIST WILL BE UPDATED AND MODIFIED AS REQUIRED BY MANAGEMENT AT DIFFERENT TIMES.
Article 2. This Decision takes effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
Article 3. THE NATIONAL STANDARDS, MEASUREMENT, AND QUALITY CONTROL AGENCY SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTING AND GUIDING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS DECISION.
Article 4. ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS ENGAGED IN THE PRODUCTION, ASSEMBLY, IMPORTATION OF MOTORCYCLES AND MOTORCYCLE ENGINES AND PARTS, AND OTHER RELATED ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR COMPLYING WITH THIS DECISION.
