DECREE

Regarding the establishment of wards and communes under Kon Tum City and the districts of Kon Rẫy, Ngọc Hồi, Kon Plông, Kon Tum Province

RESOLUTION:

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Kon Tum Province,

 

DECISION:

Article 1. The administrative boundaries for the establishment of wards and communes under Kon Tum City and the districts of Kon Rẫy, Ngọc Hồi, Kon Plông, Kon Tum Province are adjusted as follows:

1. Establishing Tran Hung Dao Ward under Kon Tum City based on 590 hectares of natural area and 5,857 population from Hoa Binh Commune.

Administrative boundary of Tran Hung Dao Ward: East borders Chu H'Reng Commune; West and South border Hoa Binh Commune; North borders Nguyen Trai and Le Loi Wards.

After establishing Tran Hung Dao Ward, Hoa Binh Commune remains with 6,075 hectares of natural area and 4,483 population.

2. Establishing Ngo May Ward under Kon Tum City based on 550 hectares of natural area and 4,035 population from Vinh Quang Commune.

Administrative boundary of Ngo May Ward: East borders Duy Tan Ward; West, South, and North border Vinh Quang Commune.

After establishing Ngo May Ward, Vinh Quang Commune remains with 2,176 hectares of natural area and 5,945 population.

3. Establishing Nguyen Trai Ward under Kon Tum City based on 600 hectares of natural area and 3,889 population from Dong Ket Commune.

Administrative boundary of Nguyen Trai Ward: East borders Le Loi Ward; West borders Dong Ket Commune; South borders Tran Hung Dao Ward; North borders Quyet Thang Ward and Vinh Quang Commune.

After establishing Nguyen Trai Ward, Dong Ket Commune remains with 2,115 hectares of natural area and 3,064 population.

4. Establishing Truong Chinh Ward under Kon Tum City based on 196.68 hectares of natural area and 2,563 population from Dak Ba Commune, 244.20 hectares of natural area and 3,690 population from Thang Loi Ward.

Truong Chinh Ward has 440.88 hectares of natural area and 6,253 population.

Administrative boundary of Truong Chinh Ward: East borders Dak Ba and Dak Ro Wa Communes; West borders Duy Tan and Quang Trung Wards; South borders Thang Loi Ward; North borders Dak Cam Commune.

After establishing Truong Chinh Ward:

- Dak Ba Commune remains with 4,116.32 hectares of natural area and 4,841 population.

- Thang Loi Ward remains with 515.80 hectares of natural area and 8,689 population.

5. Establishing Dak To Lung Commune under Kon Ray District based on 12,420 hectares of natural area and 3,250 population from Dak Ruong Commune.

Administrative boundary of Dak To Lung Commune: East borders Dak Re Ve Town and Tan Lap Commune; West borders Dak Ha District; South borders Dak Ruong and Dak To Re Communes; North borders Dak Koi Commune.

After establishing Dak To Lung Commune, Dak Ruong Commune remains with 6,700 hectares of natural area and 3,155 population.

6. Establishing Dak Kan Commune under Ngoc Hoi District based on 8,790 hectares of natural area and 2,293 population from Dak Xu Commune, 250 hectares of natural area and 635 population from Sa Loong Commune.

Dak Kan Commune has 9,040 hectares of natural area and 2,928 population.

Administrative boundary of Dak Kan Commune: East borders Dak To District; West borders Bo Y and Sa Loong Communes; South borders Sa Thay District; North borders Plei Ken Town and Dak Xu Commune.

After establishing Dak Kan Commune:

- Dak Xu Commune remains with 11,920 hectares of natural area and 3,369 population.

- Sa Loong Commune remains with 17,760 hectares of natural area and 2,965 population.

7. Establishing Dak Long Commune under Kon Plong District based on 13,555 hectares of natural area and 2,054 population from Mang Canh Commune.

Administrative boundary of Dak Long Commune: East borders Hieu Commune; West borders Kon Ray District; South borders Kon Ray District and Gia Lai Province; North borders Mang Canh Commune.

After establishing Dak Long Commune, Mang Canh Commune remains with 14,335 hectares of natural area and 2,002 population.

8. Establishing Dak Tang Commune under Kon Plong District based on 12,100 hectares of natural area and 2,067 population from Mang But Commune.

Administrative boundary of Dak Tang Commune: East borders Ngok Tem Commune; West borders Dak Ha District; South borders Mang Canh and Kon Ray Communes; North borders Mang But and Dak Ring Communes.

After establishing Dak Tang Commune, Mang But Commune remains with 17,310 hectares of natural area and 2,281 population.

9. Establishing Dak Nen Commune under Kon Plong District based on 12,973 hectares of natural area and 2,027 population from Dak Ring Commune.

Administrative boundary of Dak Nen Commune: East borders Quang Ngai Province; West borders Mang But Commune and Quang Nam Province; South borders Dak Ring Commune; North borders Quang Nam Province.

After establishing Dak Nen Commune, Dak Ring Commune remains with 9,747 hectares of natural area and 2,008 population.

Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.

Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Kon Tum Province, the Minister of Interior, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decision.
