Article 1. Son Tay City under Ha Tay Province shall be established based on the entire natural area, population, and administrative units directly under Son Tay Town:
Son Tay City has 11,346 hectares of natural area and 181,831 inhabitants, with 15 administrative units directly under it, including the wards: Quang Trung, Le Loi, Ngo Quyen, Son Loc, Xuan Khanh, Phu Thinh, and the communes: Duong Lam, Vien Son, Trung Hung, Thanh My, Xuan Son, Trung Son Tran, Kim Son, Son Dong, Co Dong.
The administrative boundary of Son Tay City: East borders Phuc Tho District; West borders Ba Vi District; South borders Thach That District, Ha Tay Province; North borders Vinh Tuong District, Vinh Phuc Province.
Ha Tay Province has 14 district-level administrative units, including the districts: Ba Vi, Chuong My, Dan Phuong, Hoai Duc, My Duc, Phu Xuyen, Phuc Tho, Quoc Oai, Thach That, Thanh Oai, Thuong Tin, Ung Hoa, and the cities: Ha Dong, Son Tay.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect 15 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tay Province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
