ISSUING REGULATIONS ON THE CONTROL OF RESIDUES OF HARMFUL SUBSTANCES IN FARMS-Raised AQUATIC ANIMALS AND THEIR PRODUCTS

THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Pursuant to Decree No. 01/2008/NĐ-CP dated January 3, 2008, of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
WHEREAS, Decree No. 79/2008/ND-CP dated July 18, 2008 of the Government stipulates the organizational system for management, inspection, and testing related to food safety hygiene;
Based on the Fisheries Law dated November 26, 2003;
WHEREAS, Law on Product and Goods Quality dated November 20, 2007;
WHEREAS, Ordinance on Food Safety Hygiene dated July 26, 2003 and Decree No. 163/2004/ND-CP dated September 7, 2004 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Ordinance on Food Safety Hygiene;
At the proposal of the Director of the Quality Management Department for Agricultural, Forestry, and Aquatic Products,
DECISION:
Article 1. ATTACHED TO THIS DECISION IS THE "REGULATIONS ON THE CONTROL OF RESIDUES OF HARMFUL SUBSTANCES IN FARMS-Raised AQUATIC ANIMALS AND THEIR PRODUCTS".
Article 2. THIS DECISION SHALL TAKE EFFECT 15 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF PUBLICATION IN THE OFFICIAL GAZETTE. THIS DECISION REPLACES Decision No. 15/2002/QD-BTS dated May 17, 2002 of the Minister of Fisheries on the issuance of regulations on the control of residues of harmful substances in farms-raised aquatic animals and their products.
Article 3. The Director of the Ministry's Office, the Director of the Directorate for Quality Assurance of Forestry and Aquatic Products, Heads of Units under the Ministry, Directors of Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development of provinces and centrally-administered cities are responsible for implementing this Decision.
