DECREE

Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries to establish communes and towns belonging to

Ham Tan and Duc Linh districts, Binh Thuan province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province,

DECREE:

Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted to establish communes and towns belonging to Ham Tan and Duc Linh districts, Binh Thuan province, as follows:

1. Establishing the commune of Song Phan under Ham Tan district based on 5,981 hectares of natural area and 4,352 population of the commune of Tan Nghia.

Administrative boundary of the commune of Song Phan: East borders Ham Tan Nam district; West borders the commune of Tan Phuc; South borders the commune of Tan Nghia; North borders Tanch Linh district.

After establishing the commune of Song Phan, the commune of Tan Nghia remains with 5,520 hectares of natural area and 11,364 population.

2. Establishing the town of Tan Minh under Ham Tan district based on 700 hectares of natural area and 6,165 population of the commune of Tan Minh.

Administrative boundary of the town of Tan Minh: East borders the commune of Tan Phuc; West borders the commune of Tan Duc; South and North border the communes of Tan Phuc and Tan Duc.

3. Establishing the commune of Tan Phuc under Ham Tan district based on 11,467.90 hectares of natural area and 7,066 population of the commune of Tan Minh.

Administrative boundary of the commune of Tan Phuc: East borders the communes of Tan Nghia and Song Phan; West borders the town of Tan Minh and the commune of Tan Duc; South borders the commune of Tan Ha; North borders Tanch Linh district.

4. Establishing the commune of Tan Duc under Ham Tan district based on the entire remaining natural area and population of the commune of Tan Minh.

The commune of Tan Duc has 10,721.10 hectares of natural area and 4,839 population.

Administrative boundary of the commune of Tan Duc: East borders the town of Tan Minh and the commune of Tan Phuc; West borders Dong Nai province; South borders the communes of Tan Ha and Tan Thang; North borders Tanch Linh district.

5. Establishing the commune of Dong Ha under Duc Linh district based on 3,620 hectares of natural area and 7,994 population of the commune of Tra Tan.

Administrative boundary of the commune of Dong Ha: East borders the commune of Tra Tan and Tanch Linh district; West and South border Dong Nai province; North borders the commune of Tra Tan.

After establishing the commune of Dong Ha, the commune of Tra Tan remains with 3,547.90 hectares of natural area and 8,001 population.

6. Establishing the commune of Duc Tin under Duc Linh district based on 2,950 hectares of natural area and 9,763 population of the commune of Duc Hạnh.

Administrative boundary of the commune of Duc Tin: East borders the town of Duc Tai; West borders Dong Nai province; South borders the commune of Duc Hạnh; North borders Dong Nai province.

After establishing the commune of Duc Tin, the commune of Duc Hạnh remains with 4,470 hectares of natural area and 8,592 population.

Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.

Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
