Pursuant to the Road Traffic Law No. 26/2001/QH10 dated June 29, 2001;

Pursuant to the Quality of Goods Ordinance No. 18/1999/PL-UBTVQH10 dated December 24, 1999;

Pursuant to Decree No. 34/2003/NĐ-CP dated April 4, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport;

At the proposal of the Director of the Science and Technology Department and the Director General of the Vietnam Vehicle Inspection Agency.

Article 1. Issued together with this Decision are the Industry Standards:

"ROAD MOTOR VEHICLES - CITY PASSENGER CARS - TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS"

Registration number: 22 TCN 302-06

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. However, Section 4.9.1 of the standard shall be applied twenty-four months from the date this Decision becomes effective.

Article 3. Encouragement for application of Part 2. Specific technical requirements for vehicles for disabled persons.

Article 4. Types of motor vehicles that have been granted quality certification before the effective date of this Decision may continue production and assembly for a period of twelve months.

Article 5. The Heads of the Ministry's Office, the Director of the Science and Technology Department, the Director General of the Vietnam Vehicle Inspection Agency, the Director General of the Vietnam Highway Administration, the Directors of the Departments of Transport and Public Works, and the Heads of related units are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
