DECREE

Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes and districts; establishment of communes under Dak R'Lap, Dak Song, Dak Mil districts and establishment of Tuy Duc district under Dak Nong province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Nong province.

DECREE

Article 1. Adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes and districts; establishment of communes under Dak R'Lap, Dak Song, Dak Mil districts and establishment of Tuy Duc district under Dak Nong province as follows:

1. Establishment of Dak Ngo commune under Dak R'Lap district based on the adjustment of 2,249 hectares of natural area from Dak Ru commune; 14,537 hectares of natural area and 3,029 population of Quang Tin commune.

Dak Ngo commune has 16,786 hectares of natural area and 3,029 population.

Administrative boundary of Dak Ngo commune: East borders Dak R'Tih, Quang Tan, and Quang Tin communes; West borders Quang Truc commune and Bu Dang district, Binh Phuoc province; South borders Dak Ru commune and Bu Dang district, Binh Phuoc province; North borders Dak Buk So commune.

2. Establishment of Nghia Thang commune under Dak R'Lap district based on the adjustment of 4,910 hectares of natural area and 6,762 population of Dao Nghia commune.

Nghia Thang commune has 4,910 hectares of natural area and 6,762 population.

Administrative boundary of Nghia Thang commune: East borders Nhan Dao and Dak Wer communes; West borders Dak Sin and Kien Thanh communes; South borders Dao Nghia commune; North borders Dak Wer and Kien Thanh communes.

3. Establishment of Quang Tam commune under Dak R'Lap district based on 3,088 hectares of natural area and 680 population of Dak R'Tih commune; 3,907 hectares of natural area and 2,348 population of Dak Buk So commune.

Quang Tam commune has 6,995 hectares of natural area and 3,028 population.

Administrative boundary of Quang Tam commune: East borders Dak Buk So and Dak R'Tih communes; West borders Quang Truc commune; South borders Dak R'Tih and Quang Tin communes; North borders Dak Buk So commune.

After adjusting administrative boundaries:

- Dak Ru commune has 6,712 hectares of natural area and 8,658 population.

- Quang Tin commune has 5,153 hectares of natural area and 5,779 population.

- Dao Nghia commune has 5,793 hectares of natural area and 3,839 population.

- Dak Buk So commune has 8,306 hectares of natural area and 4,706 population.

- Dak R'Tih commune has 11,244 hectares of natural area and 4,966 population.

Dak R'Lap district has 175,747 hectares of natural area and 88,313 population, with 16 commune-level administrative units including communes: Dak Wer, Nhan Dao, Nhan Co, Dao Nghia, Nghia Thang, Kien Thanh, Quang Tin, Dak Sin, Dak Ru, Dak Ngo, Quang Tan, Dak Buk So, Dak R'Tih, Quang Tam, Quang Truc and Kien Duc town.

4. Establishment of Dak Hoa commune under Dak Song district based on the adjustment of 11,509 hectares of natural area and 3,070 population of Dak Mol commune.

Dak Hoa commune has 11,509 hectares of natural area and 3,070 population.

Administrative boundary of Dak Hoa commune: East borders Krong No and Dak Glong districts; West borders Thuon Hanh, Dak Song, and Dak Mil communes; South borders Dak Song, Nam N'Jang, and Dak Glong communes; North borders Dak Mol and Dak Mil communes.

After adjusting administrative boundaries:

Dak Mol commune has 7,719.66 hectares of natural area and 5,853 population.

Dak Song district has 80,776 hectares of natural area and 42,606 population, with 7 commune-level administrative units including communes: Dak Song, Dak Mol, Dak Hoa, Thuon Hanh, Truong Xuan, Dak N'Drung, and Nam N'Jang.

5. Establishment of Long Son commune under Dak Mil district based on the adjustment of 3,058 hectares of natural area and 2,198 population of Dak Sak commune.

Long Son commune has 3,058 hectares of natural area and 2,198 population.

Administrative boundary of Long Son commune: East borders Krong No district; West borders Duc Manh and Dak Sak communes; South borders Dak Sak and Krong No districts; North borders Duc Manh and Dak R'La communes.

6. Adjustment of 229 hectares of natural area and 801 population of Duc Minh commune to Dak Sak commune under management of Dak Mil district.

After adjusting administrative boundaries:

- Dak Sak commune has 3,170.88 hectares of natural area and 9,704 population.

- Duc Minh commune has 3,313.68 hectares of natural area and 13,392 population.

Dak Mil district has 68,270 hectares of natural area and 80,683 population, with 10 commune-level administrative units including communes: Dak Sak, Duc Minh, Long Son, Dak Lao, Dak R'La, Duc Manh, Dak N'Drot, Dak Gan, Thuon An and Dak Mil town.

7. Establishment of Tuy Duc district under Dak Nong province based on the adjustment of 112,327 hectares of natural area and 23,238 population of Dak R'Lap district.

Tuy Duc district has 112,327 hectares of natural area and 23,238 population, with 6 commune-level administrative units including communes: Dak Ngo, Quang Tan, Dak Buk So, Dak R'Tih, Quang Tam, Quang Truc.

Administrative boundary of Tuy Duc district: East borders Dak Song district; West borders Binh Phuoc province; South borders Dak R'Lap district; North borders the Kingdom of Cambodia.

After adjusting administrative boundaries:

Dak R'Lap district retains 63,420 hectares of natural area and 65,075 population, with 10 commune-level administrative units including communes: Dak Wer, Nhan Dao, Nhan Co, Dao Nghia, Nghia Thang, Kien Thanh, Quang Tin, Dak Sin, Dak Ru and Kien Duc town.

Dak Nong province has 651,438 hectares of natural area and 408,720 population, with 8 commune-level administrative units including: districts: Tuy Duc, Dak R'Lap, Dak Glong, Dak Song, Dak Mil, Krong No, Cu Jut and Gia Nghia city.

Article 2. This Decree takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.

Article 3. The Minister of Home Affairs, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Nong province and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
