Regarding the establishment of the Vietnam British University

PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to the Education Law dated June 14, 2005;

Pursuant to Decision No. 121/2007/QD-TTg dated July 27, 2007 of the Prime Minister approving the planning of the university network for the period 2006-2020;

Pursuant to Decision No. 07/2009/QD-TTg dated January 15, 2009 of the Prime Minister on conditions and procedures for establishing, suspending operations, merging, dividing, splitting, and dissolving universities;

Considering the proposal of the Ministry of Education and Training at Report No. 5999/TTr-BGDĐT dated August 31, 2009 regarding the establishment of the Apollo University in Hanoi,

DECISION:

Article 1. Permission is hereby granted to establish the Vietnam British University in Hanoi City.

Article 2. The Vietnam British University is a higher education institution established by the Apollo Education Management Organization with legal personality, its own seal, separate accounts, and subject to state management in education and training by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Article 3. The Vietnam British University operates according to its Charter approved by the Ministry of Education and Training; it complies with the Education Law, Decision No. 07/2009/QD-TTg dated January 15, 2009 of the Prime Minister on conditions and procedures for establishing, suspending operations, merging, dividing, splitting, and dissolving universities, and the Charter on organization and operation of private universities issued together with Decision No. 61/2009/QD-TTg dated April 17, 2009 of the Prime Minister.

Article 4. This Decision shall take effect from the date of signing.

Article 5. The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities, and the Apollo Education Management Organization are responsible for implementing this Decision.
