Regarding the issuance of regulations on registration procedures; production, processing, bottling, packaging; export, import, trade; storage, transportation, use; destruction; labeling; packaging; seminars, advertising for plant protection chemicals

Pursuant to Decree 73/CP dated November 1, 1995 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;

Pursuant to the Plant Protection and Quarantine Law issued on July 25, 2001 and the Regulation on Management of Plant Protection Chemicals promulgated together with Decree No. 58/2002/NĐ-CP dated June 3, 2002 of the Government.

Considering the proposal of the Director of the Plant Protection Department, the Head of the Science, Technology and Product Quality Department.

THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Issuing regulations on registration procedures; production, processing, bottling, packaging; export, import; trade; storage, transportation; use; destruction; labeling; packaging; seminars, advertising for plant protection chemicals.

Nine appendices are attached to this decision.

These regulations apply to organizations and individuals, both domestic and foreign, involved in the relevant fields in Vietnam.

DECISION:

Article 1: This Decision replaces Decision No. 165/1999/QĐ-BNN-BVTV dated December 13, 1999; Provision No. 3 on business conditions, production, processing, bottling, packaging, importation of plant protection chemicals issued together with Decision No. 34/2001/QĐ-BNN-VP dated March 30, 2001 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The Heads of the Ministry's Office, the Director of the Plant Protection Department, the Head of the Science, Technology and Product Quality Department, the Heads of units under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Directors of Provincial Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, and related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decision.

MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Article 2: Buu Ba Bong

All previous regulations that conflict with this Decision are hereby abolished.

This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of issuance.

Article 3: The Head of the Ministry’s Office, the Director of the Plant Protection Department, the Director of the Science and Technology - Product Quality Department, the Heads of units under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Directors of Provincial Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, and related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decision.
