Regarding the establishment of Vinh Yen City under Vinh Phuc Province

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc Province.
DECREE
Article 1. Establish Vinh Yen City under Vinh Phuc Province based on the entire natural area, population, and administrative units directly subordinate to Vinh Yen City.
Vinh Yen City has 5,080.21 hectares of natural area and 122,568 inhabitants, comprising 9 administrative units including the wards: Ngo Quyen, Lien Bao, Tich Son, Dong Tam, Hoi Hop, Khai Quang, Dong Da, and the communes: Dinh Trung, Thanh Tru.
The administrative boundary of Vinh Yen City: East borders with Binh Xuyen District; West borders with Yen Lac and Tam Duong Districts; South borders with Yen Lac and Binh Xuyen Districts; North borders with Tam Dao and Tam Duong Districts, Vinh Phuc Province.
Vinh Phuc Province has 9 district-level administrative units, including the districts: Binh Xuyen, Lap Thach, Me Linh, Tam Duong, Tam Dao, Vinh Tường, Yen Lac, Phu Yen City, and Vinh Yen City.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect 15 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Minister of Home Affairs, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc Province, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
