THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan Province,
DECREE:
Article 1. Dissolve Phước Thắng Commune; adjust the administrative boundaries of Phước Tiến, Phước Chính, and Phước Đại Communes; establish new Phước Thắng Commune under Bac Ai District, Ninh Thuan Province as follows:
1. Dissolve Phước Thắng Commune and adjust the natural area and population of Phước Thắng Commune as follows:
- Adjust 2,591.8 hectares of natural area of dissolved Phước Thắng Commune to be managed by Phước Thành Commune;
- Adjust 5,580.27 hectares of natural area of dissolved Phước Thắng Commune to be managed by Phước Đại Commune;
- The entire 3,149 population of dissolved Phước Thắng Commune will be adjusted to establish new Phước Thắng Commune.
2. Adjust the administrative boundary of Phước Đại Commune
Adjust 13.1 hectares of natural area of Phước Đại Commune to be managed by Phước Thành Commune.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries:
- Phước Thành Commune has 12,690.47 hectares of natural area and 2,601 population;
- Phước Đại Commune has 11,341.26 hectares of natural area and 2,925 population.
3. Adjust the administrative boundaries of Phước Chính and Phước Tiến Communes to establish new Phước Thắng Commune.
Establish new Phước Thắng Commune under Bac Ai District based on adjusting 1,471.21 hectares of natural area of Phước Chính Commune; 3,259.39 hectares of natural area of Phước Tiến Commune; 3,149 population of dissolved Phước Thắng Commune.
New Phước Thắng Commune has 4,730.60 hectares of natural area and 3,149 population.
Administrative boundary of new Phước Thắng Commune: East borders Phước Đại and Phước Chính Communes; West borders Phước Tiến Commune; South borders Ninh Son District; North borders Phước Tiến Commune.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries:
- Phước Chính Commune retains 6,534.22 hectares of natural area and 1,387 population;
- Phước Tiến Commune retains 7,616.61 hectares of natural area and 3,020 population.
Bac Ai District has 102,753.32 hectares of natural area and 21,764 population, with 9 subordinate administrative units including communes: Phước Đại, Phước Chính, new Phước Thắng, Phước Thành, Phước Tân, Phước Tiến, Phước Trung, Phước Hòa, and Phước Bình.
Article 2. This Decree takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.
Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan Province, and heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
