PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to Decree No. 204/2004/NĐ-CP dated December 14, 2004 of the Government on salary system for cadres, civil servants, and armed forces;

Pursuant to Decree No. 205/2004/NĐ-CP dated December 14, 2004 of the Government stipulating the wage scale, pay table, and wage allowances in state-owned enterprises;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Transport,

DECISION:

Article 1. Implementing a special sea allowance for civil servants, public officials, workers, and employees on maritime search and rescue vessels during their direct participation in drills, training, and maritime search and rescue operations at a rate of 150,000 VND per person per actual day at sea.

Article 2. The funding source for the special sea allowance as prescribed in Article 1 of this Decision shall be allocated from the annual state budget estimate of the Ministry of Transport in accordance with the State Budget Law; the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center shall directly pay the allowance to civil servants, public officials, workers, and employees on maritime search and rescue vessels during their direct participation in drills, training, and maritime search and rescue operations.

Article 3. This Decision takes effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette.

Repealing Decision No. 70/2006/QĐ-TTg dated March 29, 2006 of the Prime Minister on special sea allowance for civil servants, public officials, workers, and employees on maritime search and rescue vessels.

Article 4. The Minister of Transport, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Minister of Finance are responsible for guiding the implementation and monitoring the enforcement of this Decision.

Article 5. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees, and Chairpersons of municipal People's Committees directly under the central government shall be responsible for implementing this Decision.
