THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu province.
DECREE
Article 1. Adjusting the administrative boundaries of Phước Long Thọ commune; establishing Đất Đỏ town and Phước Hải town under Đất Đỏ district, Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu province as follows:
1. Establishing Đất Đỏ town under Đất Đỏ district based on the entire 1,173.39 hectares of natural area and 7,212 population of Phước Thạnh commune; 1,041.05 hectares of natural area and 12,550 population of Phước Long Thọ commune.
Đất Đỏ town has 2,214.44 hectares of natural area and 19,762 population.
Administrative boundary of Đất Đỏ town: East borders Phước Long Thọ commune, Đất Đỏ district; West borders An Nhứt commune, Long Điền district; South borders Phước Hội commune, Long Mỹ commune, Đất Đỏ district and Tam Phước commune, Long Điền district; North borders Long Tân commune, Đất Đỏ district.
After adjusting the administrative boundary of Phước Long Thọ commune, it remains with 3,644.40 hectares of natural area and 1,793 population.
2. Establishing Phước Hải town under Đất Đỏ district based on the entire 1,655.58 hectares of natural area and 20,923 population of Phước Hải commune.

Administrative boundary of Phước Hải town: East borders Lộc An commune, Đất Đỏ district; West borders Long Hải town, Long Điền district; South borders the East Sea; North borders Long Mỹ commune and Phước Hội commune, Đất Đỏ district.
After adjusting the administrative boundary to establish Đất Đỏ town and Phước Hải town, Đất Đỏ district has 18,959.33 hectares of natural area and 64,266 population, including 8 administrative units comprising communes: Phước Long Thọ, Phước Hội, Long Mỹ, Long Tân, Láng Dài, Lộc An and towns: Đất Đỏ, Phước Hải.
Article 2. This Decree takes effect 15 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.
Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu province and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
