PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Based on the Fisheries Law dated November 26, 2003;

Pursuant to Decree No. 204/2004/NĐ-CP dated December 14, 2004 of the Government on salary systems for officials, civil servants, and armed forces;

Pursuant to Decree No. 205/2004/NĐ-CP dated December 14, 2004 of the Government stipulating the wage scale and wage supplement system in state-owned enterprises;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Minister of Finance,

DECISION:

Article 1. To stipulate the allowance for maritime duties for inspectors and cooperative inspectors in agriculture and rural development when conducting inspections and supervision of aquaculture activities, and for officers, crew members, and workers on fisheries surveillance vessels during their time at sea, at a rate of 110,000 dong per person per actual day at sea.

Article 2.

1. The subjects specified in Article 1 of this Decision shall only be entitled to such allowance when performing duties at sea, and when receiving the maritime duty allowance, they shall not be entitled to travel expenses.

2. The funding for implementing the maritime duty allowance stipulated in Article 1 of this Decision shall be allocated from the State budget according to the provisions of the Law on State Budget.

3. The agency issuing decisions on inspection and supervision of marine aquaculture activities shall directly pay the allowance to the subjects specified in Article 1 of this Decision during the period of direct inspection and supervision at sea.

Article 3. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette.

Repeal Decision No. 913/1997/QĐ-TTg dated October 25, 1997 of the Prime Minister regarding the implementation of the maritime duty allowance for Inspectors and Control Officers for Aquatic Resource Protection.

Article 4. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees, and Chairpersons of municipal People's Committees directly under the central government shall be responsible for implementing this Decision.
