Regarding the establishment of Bac Ninh City under Bac Ninh Province

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province.
DECREE
Article 1. Bac Ninh City under Bac Ninh Province shall be established based on the entire natural area, population, and administrative units directly under Bac Ninh Town.
Bac Ninh City has an area of 26.34 square kilometers and a population of 121,028, comprising 10 direct administrative units including the wards: Dap Cau, Thi Cau, Vu Ninh, Suoi Hoa, Tien An, Ninh Xa, Ve An, Kinh Bac, Dai Phuc, and Vo Cuong Commune.
The administrative boundary of Bac Ninh City: to the north bordering Viet Yen District, Bac Giang Province; to the east bordering Que Vo District; to the south bordering Tien Du District; to the west bordering Yen Phong District, Bac Ninh Province.
Bac Ninh Province has 8 district-level administrative units, including districts: Yen Phong, Tu Son, Tien Du, Que Vo, Thuan Thanh, Gia Binh, Luong Tai, and Bac Ninh City.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
