Regarding the issuance of"Regulations on the issuance, use, and management of barcode numbers"

Pursuant to Decree No. 54/2003/NĐ-CP dated May 19, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Decree No. 28/2004/NĐ-CP dated January 16, 2004 of the Government amending and supplementing certain articles of Decree No. 54/2003/NĐ-CP;
Pursuant to Decision No. 45/2002/QĐ-TTg dated March 27, 2002 of the Prime Minister regarding the content of state management over barcode numbers and the state management agency for barcode numbers;
At the proposal of the General Director of the Standardization, Measurement and Quality Control Department and the Director of the Legal Department,
DECISION:
Article 1. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Article 2. The Standard Measurement Quality Control Department shall be responsible for organizing and guiding the implementation of the Regulations adopted herein.
Article 3. The General Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Quality Control shall be responsible for organizing and guiding the implementation of the Regulations attached to this Decision.
Article 4. The Director of the General Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Quality Control, the Head of the Legal Department, and other relevant organizations and individuals shall be responsible for implementing this Decision.
