Issuing Economic and Technical Standards

for the Preparation and Amendment of Water Resources Plans

Pursuant to Law on Water Resources No. 17/2012/QH13 dated June 21, 2012;

Pursuant to Government Decree No. 36/2017/NĐ-CP dated April 4, 2017 stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment;

At the proposal of the Director of the Water Resources Management Department, the Head of the Planning and Finance Department, and the Head of the Legal Affairs Department;

The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment issues this Circular on Economic and Technical Standards for the Preparation and Amendment of Water Resources Plans.

Article 1. This Circular hereby promulgates Economic and Technical Standards for the preparation and amendment of water resources plans, attached hereto.

Article 2. This Circular takes effect from September 7, 2017 and replaces Circular No. 15/2009/TT-BTNMT dated October 5, 2009 issued by the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment on Economic and Technical Standards for the Preparation and Amendment of Water Resources Plans.

Article 3. The Minister, Heads of ministerial-level agencies and government-attached agencies, Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees under central cities, Director of the Water Resources Management Department, Heads of units under the Ministry, and relevant organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular.

During implementation, any difficulties or obstacles should be promptly reported to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for examination and resolution./.
