Amending and supplementing Decision No. 46/2001/QĐ-TTg on management of export and import of goods during the period 2001-2005

||| and Decision No. 79/2002/QĐ-TTg on management of receiving foreign television programs

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Trade and the Minister of Culture and Information;

Amending and supplementing Article 6 of Decision No. 79/2002/QĐ-TTg dated June 18, 2002 of the Chairman of the Government on management of receiving foreign television programs, as follows:

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

"Article 6. Responsibilities for managing the reception of foreign television programs:

DECISION:

Article 1. 1. Ministry of Culture and Information:

a) Granting permits for importing and trading TVRO equipment.

b) Granting permits for installation and use of TVRO to receive foreign television programs for the subjects mentioned in points a, c, đ, e Clause 1 and points a, b Clause 2 of Article 1 of this Decision.

c) Registering foreign television stations providing decoders for their distributors in Vietnam.

d) Registering organizations and agencies acting as distributors in Vietnam for foreign television program decoders.

đ) Registering organizations and agencies engaged in business activities related to installation and repair of TVRO equipment.

2. People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities: Granting permits for installation and use of TVRO to receive foreign television programs for the subjects mentioned in points b, d Clause 1 and points c, d Clause 2 of Article 1 of this Decision within their respective localities. The Department of Culture and Information shall be responsible before the People's Committee of the province or centrally governed city for issuing permits for installation and use of TVRO to receive foreign television programs within their respective localities."

Amending and supplementing Decision No. 46/2001/QĐ-TTg dated April 4, 2001 of the Chairman of the Government on management of export and import of goods during the period 2001-2005, as follows:

Supplementing Point 5 to Section "Imported Goods" of Item "V- List of goods under specialized management of the Ministry of Culture and Information" in

Article 2. "Appendix No. 03: List of goods under 07 specialized management and principles of management", with the following content:

Article 3. This Decision takes effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.

Article 4. The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government agencies, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities, and all organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
