DECISION OF THE PRIME MINISTER
On the Coordination Agency of Vietnam in participating in the International Monetary Fund's General Data Dissemination System (GDDS).
Considering the proposal of the General Statistics Office Director General at Document No. 602/TCTK- dated September 2002 and the opinions of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, Ministry of Finance, and heads of relevant agencies,
PRIME MINISTER
WHEREAS EDUCATION Education Law dated December 25, 2001;
The General Statistics Office is assigned as the Coordination Agency of Vietnam for participating in the General Data Dissemination System (hereinafter referred to as the GDDS) of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Participating agencies in the GDDS include: 2. State Bank of Vietnam. 4. Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. 5. Ministry of Health. 6. Ministry of Education and Training. SIGNATURE dated 09 7. National Committee on Population, Family and Children. Ministry of Science and Technology 8. Securities Commission. Ministry of Science and Technology 9. Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. includes 10. Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications.
DECISION:
Article 1. 11. Ministry of Trade.
Article 2. 12. Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
1. The Ministry of Finance.
13. Ministry of Industry.
3. The Ministry of Planning and Investment.

15. Ministry of Construction.
16. Ministry of Culture and Information.

The Coordination Agency has the following functions and responsibilities:
1. Appointing national coordinators to communicate with ministries, sectors, and the IMF regarding all issues related to participation and implementation of the GDDS.
2. Coordinating with ministries, sectors, and participating agencies in the GDDS.
3. Assigning responsibilities to ministries, sectors, and participating agencies in collecting and compiling statistical indicators according to the requirements of the GDDS within their respective fields of responsibility.
4. Providing data to the IMF for uploading onto the GDDS in accordance with current state regulations on providing statistical data.
5. Contacting the IMF for technical assistance and other matters related to the implementation of the GDDS.
Ministries, sectors, and participating agencies in the GDDS have the following tasks:
1. Collecting, compiling, and providing statistical indicators assigned by the Coordination Agency within the specified deadlines.
2. Adhering to current state regulations on the publication of data provided to the Coordination Agency for submission to the IMF.
3. Appointing staff members or forming working groups responsible before their respective ministries or sectors for regularly communicating, coordinating, and providing data to the Coordination Agency.
Article 3. Ministers, heads of agencies equivalent to ministries, and heads of government agencies named in Articles 1 and 2 are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
1. Appoint a national coordinator to communicate with ministries, sectors, and the IMF on all issues related to participation and implementation of the GDDS System.
2. Coordinate with ministries, sectors, and agencies participating in the GDDS System.
3. Assign responsibilities to ministries, sectors, and agencies participating in the collection and synthesis of statistical indicators according to the requirements of the GDDS System within their respective fields of responsibility.
4. Provide data to the IMF for uploading onto the GDDS System in accordance with current state regulations on the provision of statistical data.
5. Contact the IMF for technical assistance and other matters related to the implementation of the GDDS System.
Article 4. Ministries, sectors, and agencies participating in the GDDS System have the following tasks:
1. Collect, compile, and provide assigned statistical indicators to the coordinating agency within the specified timeframe.
2. Comply with current state regulations on the publication of data provided to the coordinating agency for submission to the IMF.
3. Appoint staff or establish working groups responsible before their respective ministries or sectors for regular communication, coordination, and provision of data to the coordinating agency.
Article 5.This Decision shall take effect from the date of signing.
Ministers, heads of agencies equivalent to ministries, and heads of government agencies named in Articles 1 and 2 are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
