PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;

Pursuant to the Urban Planning Management Charter issued together with Decree No. 91/CP dated August 17, 1994 of the Government;

Pursuant to Decree No. 07/2001/NĐ-CP dated February 1, 2001 of the Government on National Universities;

Considering the proposal of the Director of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City (report No. 591/TT/ĐHQG-TPHCM dated August 6, 2001), the Minister of Construction (letter No. 1571/BXD-KTQH dated September 5, 2001), the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City (letter No. 1902/UB-ĐT dated June 11, 2001), the People's Committee of Binh Duong Province (letter No. 1977/UB.SX dated June 12, 2001),

DECISION:

Article 1. Approves the adjustment of the Master Plan for the National University of Ho Chi Minh City with the main contents as follows:

1. The boundary after adjustment:

- North bordering Bình An Commune and Đông Hòa Commune, Dĩ An District, Binh Duong Province;

- South bordering Highway Trường Sơn, Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, and Central Institute of Physical Education and Sports II;

- East bordering the Institute of Biotechnology and Tropical Biology under the National Center for Natural Sciences and Technology, Highway Hà Nội (National Route 1A), Ho Chi Minh City University of Public Security, and Bình An Commune;

- WEST BOUNDARY ADJACENT TO LINH XUAN WARD, THỦ ĐỨC DISTRICT, HO CHI MINH CITY.

2. The land area used is 643.7 hectares.

3. The training scale until 2020 is 50,000 students.

4. The land use planning structure and functional zones include:

- Central Zone (Administrative Center and Public Service Center...);

- Learning areas of member universities;

- Research and technology transfer zone (Institutes, Research Centers, and technology transfer facilities);

- Sports and physical education zone;

- National defense education zone;

- Student housing zone;

- Official housing zone.

Article 2. Entrusts the Director of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City:

1. To coordinate with competent agencies to handle land transfer procedures according to current regulations and determine the new boundary of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City;

2. To issue the Regulations on Construction Management of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City in accordance with the adjusted Master Plan, consistent with the approved content;

3. To organize detailed planning and submit for approval in accordance with current regulations.

Article 3. This Decision shall take effect 15 days from the date of signature.

Any previous provisions contrary to this Decision are abolished. The Minister of Education and Training, the Minister of Construction, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong Province, the Director of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City, and the Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, and related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decision.
