DECREE OF THE GOVERNMENT
Regarding the establishment of wards and communes under My Tho City, Go Cong Town, and Cai Be District, Tien Giang Province
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tien Giang Province,

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted to establish wards and communes under My Tho City, Go Cong Town, and Cai Be District, Tien Giang Province as follows:
DECREE:
Article 1. 1. Establishing Tan Long Ward under My Tho City based on the entire natural area and population of Tan Long Commune.
Tan Long Ward has 330 hectares of natural area and 4,723 inhabitants.
The administrative boundary of Tan Long Ward: East borders Cho Gao District; West borders Ward 4 and Chau Thanh District; South borders Chau Thanh District and Ben Tre Province; North borders Wards 1, 2, 4, 9 and Tan My Chanh Commune.
2. Establishing Ward 9 under My Tho City based on 274 hectares of natural area and 9,270 inhabitants of Tan My Chanh Commune.
The administrative boundary of Ward 9: East borders Tan My Chanh Commune; West borders Wards 2, 8; South borders Tan Long Ward; North borders My Phong Commune and Cho Gao District.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Ward 9, Tan My Chanh Commune remains with 681.93 hectares of natural area and 9,385 inhabitants.
3. Establishing Ward 10 under My Tho City based on 69.32 hectares of natural area and 3,323 inhabitants of Dao Thanh Commune, and 197.26 hectares of natural area and 6,964 inhabitants of Trung An Commune.
Ward 10 has 266.58 hectares of natural area and 10,287 inhabitants.
The administrative boundary of Ward 10: East borders Ward 5 and Dao Thanh Commune; West and South border Trung An Commune; North borders Chau Thanh District.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Ward 10:
- Dao Thanh Commune remains with 518.44 hectares of natural area and 7,447 inhabitants.
- Trung An Commune remains with 709.74 hectares of natural area and 7,120 inhabitants.
4. Establishing Ward 5 under Go Cong Town based on 160 hectares of natural area and 7,740 inhabitants of Long Hoa Commune.
The administrative boundary of Ward 5: East borders Long Thuan Commune; West and South border Long Hoa Commune; North borders Wards 1, 2, 4 and Long Chanh Commune.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Ward 5, Long Hoa Commune remains with 642.62 hectares of natural area and 6,975 inhabitants.
5. Dividing Hoi Cu Commune under Cai Be District into An Cu Commune and My Hoi Commune.
- An Cu Commune has 1,142.81 hectares of natural area and 13,733 inhabitants.
The administrative boundary of An Cu Commune: East borders Cai Lay District; West borders Hau Thanh Commune; South borders Dong Hoa Hiep Commune; North borders My Hoi Commune.
- My Hoi Commune has 1,377.23 hectares of natural area and 7,442 inhabitants.
The administrative boundary of My Hoi Commune: East borders Cai Lay District; West borders Hau My Phu Commune; South borders Hau Thanh and An Cu Communes; North borders Hau My Trinh Commune and Cai Lay District.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Tien Giang Province, the Minister of Interior, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Tien Giang Province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Heads of relevant agencies shall be responsible for implementing this Decree./.
