Pursuant to Decree No. 68/CP dated October 11, 1993 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;
Pursuant to Decision No. 197/1998/QĐ-TTg dated October 10, 1998 of the Prime Minister assigning the Ministry of Health the responsibility for state management of chemicals and insecticides, disinfectants used in the domestic and medical fields;
Pursuant to Decision No. 1654/1999/QĐ-BYT dated May 29, 1999 of the Minister of Health promulgating the Regulations on Management of Chemicals and Insecticides, Disinfectants Used in the Domestic and Medical Fields;
At the proposal of the Director of the Preventive Medicine Department - Ministry of Health;
DECISION:
Article 1: Issued together with this Decision is the List of Chemicals and Insecticides, Disinfectants Permitted for Registration and Use, Permitted for Registration but Restricted Use, and Prohibited from Use in the Domestic and Medical Fields in 2001, including:
The List of Chemicals and Insecticides Permitted for Registration and Use in the Domestic and Medical Fields (Table 1) comprising 29 chemicals with 155 trade names.
The List of Chemicals and Insecticides Permitted for Registration but Restricted Use in the Domestic and Medical Fields (Table 2) comprising 9 chemicals.
The List of Chemicals and Insecticides Prohibited from Use in the Domestic and Medical Fields (Table 3) comprising 17 chemicals with 87 trade names.
The List of Disinfectants Permitted for Registration and Use in the Domestic and Medical Fields (Table 4) comprising 69 chemicals with 63 trade names.
Article 2: Chemicals and products not covered by Article 1 of this Decision shall be considered on a case-by-case basis by the Ministry of Health for registration and use permission.
Article 3: This Decision takes effect from the date of signature and issuance, replacing Decision No. 65/2000/QĐ-BYT dated January 13, 2000 of the Minister of Health regarding the issuance of the List of Chemicals and Insecticides, Disinfectants Permitted for Registration and Use, Permitted for Registration but Restricted Use, and Prohibited from Use in the Domestic and Medical Fields in Vietnam in 2000.
Article 4: You are hereby responsible for implementing this Decision: Heads of the Office, Inspector General, Directors of the Preventive Medicine Department - Ministry of Health, Directors of Provincial Health Departments under the Central Government, Heads of relevant units, organizations, and individuals within and outside Vietnam engaged in the production, trading, and use of chemicals and insecticides, disinfectants used in the domestic and medical fields.
