PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Science, Technology and Environment at the report No. 2473/TTr-BKHCNMT dated August 31, 2001,
DECISION:
Article 1. January 20 each year shall be National Measurement Day.
Article 2. The Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment shall take the lead and coordinate with relevant ministries, sectors, provincial people's committees, and municipal people's committees under the central government to organize specific and appropriate activities nationwide on National Measurement Day, aiming to mobilize organizations and individuals to contribute to the development of the measurement field.
Article 3. The Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment shall be responsible for guiding the implementation of this Decision.
This Decision takes effect fifteen days after the date of signature.
Article 4. Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of provincial and centrally-administered city People's Committees are responsible for implementing this Decision.
