DECREE
Regarding the establishment of Ha Dong City under Ha Tay Province

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tay Province.
DECREE:
Article 1. Establish Ha Dong City under Ha Tay Province based on the entire natural area, population, and administrative units directly under Ha Dong Town.
Ha Dong City has 4,791.74 hectares of natural area and 228,715 inhabitants, with 15 administrative units, including wards: Nguyen Trai, Quang Trung, Van Mo, Van Phuc, Ha Cau, Phuc La, Yet Kieu, and communes: Van Ke, Kien Hung, Phu Luong, Phu Lam, Yen Nghia, Dong Mai, Bien Giang, Duong Noi.
The administrative boundary of Ha Dong City: East borders Thanh Tri District, Hanoi City; West borders Chuong My and Hoai Duc Districts; South borders Thanh Oai District; North borders Tu Liem District, Hanoi City.
Ha Tay Province has 14 district-level administrative units, including districts: Ba Vi, Chuong My, Dan Phuong, Hoai Duc, My Duc, Phu Xuyen, Phu Tho, Quoc Oai, Thach That, Thanh Oai, Thuong Tin, Ung Hoa, Son Tay Town, and Ha Dong City.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Minister of Home Affairs, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tay Province, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
