Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes; establishment of communes and towns under the districts of Dak R’Lap, Dak Song, Dak Glong, and Kroong No, Dak Nong province

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Nong province,
DECREE:
Article 1. Adjusting the administrative boundaries of communes; establishing communes and towns under the districts of Dak R’Lap, Dak Song, Dak Glong, and Kroong No, Dak Nong province as follows:
1. Establishing the commune of Hung Binh under Dak R’Lap district based on adjusting 8,892 hectares of natural area and 3,465 population from the commune of Dak Sin.
The commune of Hung Binh has 8,892 hectares of natural area and 3,465 population.
Administrative boundary of the commune of Hung Binh: East borders the commune of Dak Sin, Dak R’Lap district; West borders Bu Dang district, Binh Phuoc province; South borders Cat Tien and Bao Lam districts, Lam Dong province; North borders the communes of Dak Ru and Dak Sin, Dak R’Lap district.
2. Establishing the commune of Quang Hoa under Dak Glong district based on adjusting 8,665 hectares of natural area and 3,721 population from the commune of Quang Son.
The commune of Quang Hoa has 8,665 hectares of natural area and 3,721 population.
Administrative boundary of the commune of Quang Hoa: East borders the commune of Kroong No, Lak district, Dak Lak province and Da Rsal commune, Dam Rong district, Lam Dong province; West borders the commune of Quang Son, Dak Glong district; South borders the communes of Lieng Sroh and Da Rsal, Dam Rong district, Lam Dong province; North borders the commune of Quang Phu, Kroong No district.
3. Establishing the town of Duc An under Dak Song district based on adjusting 768 hectares of natural area and 3,180 population from the commune of Dak Song; 525 hectares of natural area and 1,143 population from the commune of Nam N’Jang.
The town of Duc An has 1,293 hectares of natural area and 4,323 population. Administrative boundary of the town of Duc An: East borders the communes of Dak Song and Nam N’Jang, Dak Song district; West borders the communes of Dak Song and Dak N’Drung, Dak Song district; South borders the commune of Nam N’Jang, Dak Song district; North borders the commune of Dak Song, Dak Song district.
4. Establishing the commune of Thuan Ha under Dak Song district based on adjusting 2,448 hectares of natural area and 2,743 population from the commune of Dak Song; 390 hectares of natural area and 188 population from the commune of Dak N’Drung; 2,805 hectares of natural area and 722 population from the commune of Thuan Hạnh.
The commune of Thuan Ha has 5,643 hectares of natural area and 3,653 population.
Administrative boundary of the commune of Thuan Ha: East borders the commune of Dak Song, Dak Song district; West borders the Kingdom of Cambodia; South borders the communes of Dak Buk So, Tuy Duc district and Dak N’Drung, Dak Song district; North borders the communes of Thuan Hạnh and Dak Song, Dak Song district.
5. Establishing the commune of Nam Xuan under Kroong No district based on adjusting 2,394 hectares of natural area and 6,687 population from the commune of Dak Sor; 619 hectares of natural area from the commune of Nam Da.
The commune of Nam Xuan has 3,013 hectares of natural area and 6,687 population.
Administrative boundary of the commune of Nam Xuan: East borders the communes of Dak Sor and Nam Da, Kroong No district; West borders the commune of Long Son, Dak Mil district; South borders the town of Dak Mam and the commune of Tan Thanh, Kroong No district; North borders the communes of Dak R’La and Dak Gar, Dak Mil district.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries of some communes; establishing some communes and towns under the districts of Dak R’Lap, Dak Song, Dak Glong, and Kroong No:
- The commune of Dak Sin remains with 10,096 hectares of natural area and 6,424 population.
Dak R’Lap district has 63,420 hectares of natural area and 65,540 population, with 11 direct administrative units including the communes: Dak Wer, Nhan Co, Dao Nghia, Nghia Thang, Nhan Dao, Kien Thanh, Dak Ru, Quang Tin, Dak Sin, Hung Binh and the town of Kien Duc.
- The commune of Quang Son remains with 48,284 hectares of natural area and 5,211 population.
Dak Glong district has 144,875 hectares of natural area and 28,652 population, with 7 direct administrative units including the communes: Dak Ha, Dak R’Mang, Dak Plao, Quang Khe, Dak Som, Quang Son, Quang Hoa.
- The commune of Dak Song remains with 8,058 hectares of natural area and 5,454 population.
Renaming the commune of Dak Song to Nam Binh.
- The commune of Nam N’Jang remains with 16,532 hectares of natural area and 5,861 population.
- The commune of Thuan Hạnh remains with 7,401 hectares of natural area and 6,321 population.
- The commune of Dak N’Drung remains with 6,834 hectares of natural area and 5,845 population.
Dak Song district has 80,776 hectares of natural area and 46,382 population, with 9 direct administrative units including the town of Duc An and the communes: Thuan Hạnh, Nam Binh, Thuan Ha, Dak N’Drung, Nam N’Jang, Dak Mol, Truong Xuan, Dak Hoa.
- The commune of Nam Da remains with 5,395 hectares of natural area and 10,274 population.
- The commune of Dak Sor remains with 2,764 hectares of natural area and 4,023 population.
Kroong No district has 80,477 hectares of natural area and 56,337 population, with 12 direct administrative units including the town of Dak Mam and the communes: Buon Choah, Tan Thanh, Dak Dro, Nam Nung, Duc Xuyen, Dak Nang, Quang Phu, Nam N’Dir, Dak Sor, Nam Da, Nam Xuan.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Nong province and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
