DECREE OF THE GOVERNMENT
Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries,
establishment of wards and communes under Thu Dau Mot town,
and the districts of Dau Tieng, Phu Giao, Di An, Binh Duong province.
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now, we adjust the administrative boundaries, establish wards and communes under Thu Dau Mot town and the districts of Dau Tieng, Phu Giao, Di An, Binh Duong province as follows:
1. Adjust 24 hectares of natural area and 1,211 population of Phu Tho ward under Thu Dau Mot town to be managed by Phu Hoa ward.
Adjust 53 hectares of natural area and 861 population of Phu Hoa ward under Thu Dau Mot town to be managed by Phu Tho ward.
Establish Phu Loi ward under Thu Dau Mot town based on 735 hectares of natural area and 13,927 population of Phu Hoa ward.
Administrative boundary of Phu Loi ward: East borders Tan Uyen district and Thu An district; West borders Hiep Thanh ward; South borders Phu Hoa and Phu Cuong wards; North borders Phu My commune.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries of the wards and establishing Phu Loi ward:
- Phu Tho ward has 526 hectares of natural area and 13,833 population.
- Phu Hoa ward remains with 569 hectares of natural area and 12,774 population.
2. Adjust 78 hectares of natural area and 1,006 population of Dinh Hoa commune under Thu Dau Mot town to be managed by Tuan Binh Hiep commune.
Establish Hiep An commune under Thu Dau Mot town based on 144 hectares of natural area and 3,571 population of Tuan Binh Hiep commune, 352 hectares of natural area and 3,420 population of Tan An commune.
Hiep An commune has 496 hectares of natural area and 6,991 population.
Administrative boundary of Hiep An commune: East borders Dinh Hoa commune and Ben Cat district; West borders Tan An commune; South borders Tuan Binh Hiep commune; North borders Ben Cat district.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries of the communes and establishing Hiep An commune:
- Dinh Hoa commune remains with 1,411 hectares of natural area and 8,402 population.
- Tuan Binh Hiep commune remains with 587 hectares of natural area and 11,343 population.
- Tan An commune remains with 1,150 hectares of natural area and 11,254 population.
3. Adjust 505 hectares of natural area and 672 population of An Lap commune under Dau Tieng district to be managed by Dinh Hiep commune.
Establish Dinh Thanh commune under Dau Tieng district based on 550 hectares of natural area and 822 population of Dau Tieng town, 4,256 hectares of natural area and 873 population of Dinh An commune, 555 hectares of natural area and 1,004 population of Dinh Hiep commune.
Dinh Thanh commune has 5,361 hectares of natural area and 2,699 population.
Administrative boundary of Dinh Thanh commune: East borders Tay Ninh province; West borders Dinh An and Dinh Hiep communes; South borders Dau Tieng town and Tay Ninh province; North borders Dinh An commune.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries and establishing Dinh Thanh commune:
- Dau Tieng town remains with 2,928 hectares of natural area and 16,427 population.
- Dinh An commune remains with 7,192 hectares of natural area and 5,642 population.
- Dinh Hiep commune remains with 6,092 hectares of natural area and 6,592 population.
- An Lap commune remains with 6,084 hectares of natural area and 4,804 population.
4. Establish Tam Lap commune under Phu Giao district based on 12,057 hectares of natural area and 2,119 population of Vinh Hoa commune.
Administrative boundary of Tam Lap commune: East borders Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai provinces; West borders Phuc Vinh, Vinh Hoa, and Vinh Phuoc communes; South borders Tan Uyen district; North borders An Binh commune and Binh Phuoc province.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries and establishing Tam Lap commune, Vinh Hoa commune remains with 4,275 hectares of natural area and 8,749 population.
5. Establish Binh Thang commune under Di An district based on 601 hectares of natural area and 6,184 population of Binh An commune.
Administrative boundary of Binh Thang commune: East borders Dong Nai province; West borders Binh An and Dong Hoa communes; South borders Dong Hoa commune and Dong Nai province; North borders Dong Nai province.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries and establishing Binh Thang commune, Binh An commune remains with 536 hectares of natural area and 9,294 population.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
