DECISION

Regarding the list of state secrets classified as Top Secret and Confidential of the National Political Publishing House - The Truth

of the National Political Publishing House - The Truth

PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to the Ordinance on Protection of State Secrets dated December 28, 2000;

Pursuant to the Decree No. 33/2002/NĐ-CP dated March 28, 2002 of the Government detailing the implementation of the Ordinance on Protection of State Secrets;

Upon the proposal of the Director of the National Political Publishing House - The Truth and the Minister of Public Security,

THE GOVERNMENT:

Article 1. The list of state secrets classified as Top Secret of the National Political Publishing House - The Truth includes information within the following scope:

Information and documents related to the historical issues of the Communist Party of Vietnam; the personal background and career of Party and State leaders; about socialism and the path towards socialism that the National Political Publishing House - The Truth retains and manages according to its functions, which have not been published or will not be published.

Article 2. The list of state secrets classified as Confidential of the National Political Publishing House - The Truth includes information within the following scope:

1. Documents of the Party and materials serving the drafting of documents that the National Political Publishing House - The Truth retains, prints, or is assigned to research and draft but have not been published.

2. Materials containing information on important political, economic, security, defense, and foreign affairs situations of the Party and State collected by the National Political Publishing House - The Truth for editing purposes, but have not been published or will not be published.

3. Directives from the Party and State regarding the activities of the National Political Publishing House - The Truth that have not been published or will not be published.

Article 3. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette and shall replace Decision No. 93/TTg dated February 17, 1995 of the Prime Minister concerning the List of State Secrets in the National Political Publishing House - The Truth.

Article 4. The Director of the National Political Publishing House - The Truth shall be responsible for organizing the implementation of state secret protection work in agencies and units under their management and guiding and inspecting the enforcement of this Decision.

Article 5. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, and Heads of agencies and organizations mentioned in Article 2 of the Law on Protection of State Secrets dated December 28, 2000, and Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees directly under the Central Government shall be responsible for enforcing this Decision./.
