OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM
NUMBER 156/SL OF APRIL 30, 1953
THE PRESIDENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM
Pursuant to Decree No. 50-SL dated April 13, 1946, organizing the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation;
Pursuant to Decree No. 29-SL dated June 12, 1951, establishing the Office of Urban Engineering;
Pursuant to Decree No. 7-SL dated January 20, 1950, organizing the Office and subordinate agencies of Ministries;
At the proposal of the Minister of Public Works and Transportation;
In accordance with the resolution of the Council of Ministers,
ISSUES THE DECREE:
Article 1. The Urban Engineering Office established by Decree No. 29-SL dated June 12, 1951 is hereby abolished.
Article 2. The following are hereby established within the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation:
1. The Traffic Office, responsible for roads, railways, inland waterways.
2. The Public Works Office, responsible for hydraulic works, dyke management, transportation, and other public works tasks.
Article 3. Details regarding the organization of the Traffic Office and the Public Works Office and their specialized agencies under these two Offices in regions and provinces shall be prescribed by a decree of the Minister of Public Works and Transportation.
Article 4. The Minister of Public Works and Transportation promulgates this Decree for implementation.
