DECISION OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE GOVERNMENT
Regarding the establishment and application of policies for the Economic and Trade Promotion Zone of Chân Mây in Thua Thien Hue Province.
PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on Government Organization, December 25, 2001;
Upon consideration of the proposal of the Minister of Commerce at Report No. 3135/TM-VTM dated August 12, 2002; the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province at Report No. 1374/TT-UB dated June 20, 2002, and the opinions of relevant ministries and agencies,
DECISION:
Article 1. Establish the Economic and Trade Promotion Zone of Chân Mây in Loc Vinh Commune, Phu Loc District, Thua Thien Hue Province, with a total area of approximately 1,000 hectares, to the west bordering the Chân Mây Central Urban Area, to the east facing Chân Mây East Cape, to the south adjacent to National Highway 1A, and to the north bordering Chân Mây Bay.
Within the Economic and Trade Promotion Zone of Chân Mây, a bonded zone with an area of 250 hectares shall be established, separated from other functional zones within this area.
Article 2. The Economic and Trade Promotion Zone of Chân Mây shall apply the policies stipulated in Decision No. 53/2001/QĐ-TTg dated April 19, 2001 of the Chairman of the Government on policies for Border Gate Economic Zones.
Article 3. During the implementation process, the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province shall be responsible for:
- Preparing and implementing the planning for the construction of the Economic and Trade Promotion Zone of Chân Mây within the scope specified in Article 1.
- Coordinating closely with the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security to effectively implement projects related to national defense and security.
- Prioritizing the sequence of investment in construction projects and sub-projects to ensure efficient use.
- Annually preparing reports to submit to the Chairman of the Government. Taking the lead and coordinating with relevant ministries and agencies to evaluate the implementation of the aforementioned policies and recommending necessary adjustments and supplements to the Chairman of the Government.
Article 4. THIS DECISION SHALL TAKE EFFECT 15 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF SIGNATURE.
The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province are responsible for enforcing this Decision.
