WHEREAS, the Law on Enacting Legal Normative Documents dated November 12, 1996 and the Law Amending and Supplementing Certain Provisions of the Law on Enacting Legal Normative Documents dated December 16, 2002;

WHEREAS, the Civil Aviation Law of Vietnam dated December 26, 1991 and the Law Amending and Supplementing Certain Provisions of the Civil Aviation Law of Vietnam dated April 20, 1995;

WHEREAS, the Quality of Goods Decree No. 18/1999/PL-UBTVQH10 dated December 24, 1999;

WHEREAS, Government Decree No. 34/2003/NĐ-CP dated April 4, 2003 stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport;

CONSIDERING the proposal of the Director of the Science and Technology Department and the Director of the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam;

Article 1. ATTACHED TO THIS DECREE ARE THE INDUSTRY STANDARDS "AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATION"

Article 2. THIS DECREE SHALL TAKE EFFECT 15 DAYS AFTER ITS PUBLICATION IN THE OFFICIAL GAZETTE AND SHALL ABOLISH DECREE NO. 371/1998/QĐ-CHK DATED MARCH 13, 1998 OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE VIETNAM CIVIL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION ON THE ISSUE OF CIVIL AVIATION REGULATION 145 "APPROVAL OF AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATION";

Article 3. THE VIETNAM CIVIL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING DETAILED GUIDANCE ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THESE INDUSTRY STANDARDS.

Article 4. THE HEAD OF THE MINISTRY'S OFFICE, THE DIRECTOR OF THE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT, THE DIRECTOR OF THE VIETNAM CIVIL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION, THE GENERAL DIRECTOR OF VIETNAM AIRLINES CORPORATION, AND THE HEADS OF RELATED UNITS SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENFORCING THIS DECREE.
