Pursuant to Decree No. 49/2003/NĐ-CP dated May 15, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, authorities, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;

Pursuant to Decree No. 171/2004/NĐ-CP dated September 29, 2004 of the Government stipulating the organization of specialized agencies under the People's Committee of provinces and centrally governed cities;

Pursuant to Circular Joint No. 11/2005/TTLT-BYT-BNV dated April 12, 2005 of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Home Affairs guiding the functions, tasks, authorities, and organizational structure of specialized agencies assisting the People's Committee in state management of health at the local level;

Upon the proposal of the Director of the Personnel Department, the Director of the Treatment Department.

Article 1. Attached to this Decision are the "Regulations on the functions, tasks, authorities, and organizational structure of the Medical Examination and Diagnosis Center of provinces and centrally governed cities."

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette and shall supersede Decision No. 4212/1999/QĐ-BYT dated December 30, 1999 of the Minister of Health regarding the issuance of the Regulations on the functions and tasks of the Medical Examination and Diagnosis Department under the Health Departments of provinces and centrally governed cities.

Article 3. The Heads of the Office, Directors of the Personnel Department, Directors of the Treatment Department - Ministry of Health, Directors of Health Departments of provinces and centrally governed cities, and Heads of related units are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
