Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes and wards; establishment of communes and wards under District Binh Thuy, District O Mon, District Thot Not, and District Vinh Thanh, City Can Tho

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City,
DECREE:
Article 1. Adjusting the administrative boundaries of communes and wards to establish some wards and communes under District Binh Thuy, District O Mon, District Thot Not, and District Vinh Thanh, City Can Tho as follows:
1. Establish Ward Buu Huu Nghia under District Binh Thuy based on adjusting 637.12 hectares of natural area and 11,185 population from Ward An Thoi.
Ward Buu Huu Nghia has 637.12 hectares of natural area and 11,185 population.
Administrative boundary of Ward Buu Huu Nghia: East borders District Ninh Kieu; West borders Ward Binh Thuy and Ward An Thoi; South borders Ward An Thoi and District Ninh Kieu; North borders Ward Tra An and Province Vinh Long.
2. Establish Ward Tra An under District Binh Thuy based on adjusting 565.67 hectares of natural area and 5,339 population from Ward Tra Noc.

District Vinh Thanh has 41,029.27 hectares of natural area with 152,759 population, including 11 administrative units, namely: Town Thanh An, Town Vinh Thanh and communes: Thanh Thang, Thanh An, Thanh Tien, Thanh Quoi, Thanh My, Thanh Phu, Thanh Loc, Trung Hung, Vinh Trinh.
Article 2. This Decree takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. Previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.
Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, and heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
