DECREE
Regarding the establishment of communes and wards under the districts of Vinh Loi, Phuoc Long, Hong Dan, Gia Rai, Dong Hai, and Bac Lieu city, Bac Lieu province
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province,
DECREE
Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted to establish communes and wards under the districts of Vinh Loi, Phuoc Long, Hong Dan, Gia Rai, Dong Hai, and Bac Lieu city, Bac Lieu province as follows:
1. Establishing Ward Nha Mat under Bac Lieu city based on 2,439 hectares of natural area and 9,237 population of Commune Hiep Thanh.
Administrative boundary of Ward Nha Mat: East borders Commune Hiep Thanh; West borders District Vinh Loi; South borders the East Sea; North borders Ward 2.
After establishing Ward Nha Mat, Commune Hiep Thanh will have 2,512.35 hectares of natural area and 5,504 population remaining.
2. Establishing Commune Vinh Hau A under District Vinh Loi based on 5,150 hectares of natural area and 7,416 population of Commune Vinh Hau.
Administrative boundary of Commune Vinh Hau A: East borders Bac Lieu city; West borders Commune Vinh Hau; South borders the East Sea; North borders Commune Long Thanh.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Commune Vinh Hau A, Commune Vinh Hau will have 6,177 hectares of natural area and 8,210 population remaining.
3. Dividing Commune Phong Thanh Nam under District Phuoc Long into Commune Phong Thanh Tay A and Commune Phong Thanh Tay B.
Commune Phong Thanh Tay A has 5,664 hectares of natural area and 9,436 population.
Administrative boundary of Commune Phong Thanh Tay A: East borders Commune Vinh Phu Tay and District Gia Rai; West borders Ca Mau province; South borders Commune Phong Thanh Tay B; North borders Commune Phuoc Long and District Hong Dan.
Commune Phong Thanh Tay B has 5,907 hectares of natural area and 9,192 population.
Administrative boundary of Commune Phong Thanh Tay B: East borders District Gia Rai; West borders Ca Mau province; South borders District Gia Rai; North borders Commune Phong Thanh Tay A.
4. Establishing Commune Vinh Loc A under District Hong Dan based on 4,237.10 hectares of natural area and 9,314 population of Commune Vinh Loc.
Administrative boundary of Commune Vinh Loc A: East borders Commune Vinh Loc; West borders Kien Giang province; South borders Commune Ninh Thanh Lợi; North borders Kien Giang province.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Commune Vinh Loc A, Commune Vinh Loc will have 4,651.26 hectares of natural area and 7,486 population remaining.
5. Establishing Commune Phong Thanh A under District Gia Rai based on 3,800 hectares of natural area and 9,271 population of Commune Phong Thanh.
Administrative boundary of Commune Phong Thanh A: East borders Commune Phong Tan; West borders Communes Phong Thanh Tay, Tan Phong; South borders the towns of Gia Rai, Ho Phong; North borders Commune Phong Thanh.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Commune Phong Thanh A, Commune Phong Thanh will have 4,124 hectares of natural area and 10,061 population remaining.
6. Establishing Commune Dinh Thanh A under District Dong Hai based on 2,986.50 hectares of natural area and 9,410 population of Commune Dinh Thanh.
Administrative boundary of Commune Dinh Thanh A: East borders Commune Dinh Thanh; West, South, and North border Ca Mau province.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Commune Dinh Thanh A, Commune Dinh Thanh will have 3,010.20 hectares of natural area and 9,510 population remaining.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
