DECREE

Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries to expand the city of Nghĩa Lộ and the town of Yên Thế under Lục Yên district, Yên Bái province

Concerning the town of Yên Thế under Lục Yên district, Yên Bái province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Yên Bái province,

DECREE

Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted to expand the city of Nghĩa Lộ and the town of Yên Thế under Lục Yên district, Yên Bái province as follows:

1. Transfer the entire natural area and population of Nghĩa An, Nghĩa Lợi, and Nghĩa Phúc communes under Van Chan district to the management of the city of Nghĩa Lộ.

The city of Nghĩa Lộ has 2,966.60 hectares of natural area and 26,032 inhabitants, with seven direct administrative units including the wards of Trung Tâm, Tan An, Pu Trang, Cau Thia, and the communes of Nghĩa An, Nghĩa Lợi, Nghĩa Phúc.

Administrative boundary of the city of Nghĩa Lộ: East, South, and North bordering Van Chan district; West bordering Tran Taum district.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries to expand the city of Nghĩa Lộ:

Van Chan district retains 120,517.50 hectares of natural area and 137,953 inhabitants; it has thirty-one direct administrative units including the communes of Tan Thinh, Dai Lich, Minh An, Chan Thinh, Binh Thuan, Thach Luong, Nghia Tam, Thua Bang La, Thanh Luong, Cat Thinh, Suoi Bu, Dong Khe, Son Thinh, Suoi Giang, Phu Nham, Hanh Son, Phuc Son, Suoi Quyen Son A, An Luong, Son Luong, Nam Bun, Sung Do, Nam Muoi, Nam Lan, Gia Hoi, Tu Le, Nghia Son, and the agricultural town marketplaces of Tran Phu, Lien Son, Nghia Lo.

2. Adjust 850 hectares of natural area and 1,558 inhabitants from the commune of Yen Thang under Luc Yen district to the management of the town of Yen The.

The town of Yen The has 1,507 hectares of natural area and 8,229 inhabitants.

Administrative boundary of the town of Yen The: East borders Lieu Do commune; West borders Tan Linh commune; South borders Tan Lap and Lieu Do communes; North borders Yen Thang and Minh Xuan communes.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries to expand the town of Yen The, the commune of Yen Thang retains 1,548 hectares of natural area and 4,274 inhabitants.

Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.

Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Yên Bái province, the Minister of Interior, and the heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree. /
